Abstract: The polishing tool (1) of an optical surface (2) of a lens (3) comprises a rigid support (5) with a support surface (6). A first compressible elastic material layer (7) covers a part of the support surface. The support surface has a first surface (8) adhering to the support surface and a second opposite surface (9). A second polishing layer (10) covers a part of the first layer and comprises a first surface (11) adhering to the second surface of the first layer. A second polishing surface (12), opposite the first, is able to polish the optical surface by rubbing against it. An Independent claim is included for a method of polishing a lens.

Abstract: A tool for polishing an optical surface of a lens includes a rigid support including a support surface, a first layer called the buffer made from an elastic material and covering at least part of the support surface, and a second layer called the polisher and covering at least part of the buffer. The buffer has a first surface adhering to the support surface and a second surface opposite the first surface. The polisher has a first surface adhering to the second surface of the buffer and a second surface called the polishing surface opposite the first surface and adapted to polish the optical surface of the lens by rubbing against it. The polishing surface is a toric surface and, to be able to polish an atoric optical surface, the buffer is adapted to be compressed elastically and the polisher is adapted to be deformed to espouse the atoric surface. Applications include polishing atoric optical surfaces.

Abstract: Util de pulido de una superficie óptica (3) de una lente (1), comprendiendo el indicado útil (5): - un soporte (6) rígido que comprende una superficie de soporte (8); - una primera capa (9), llamada tampón, realizada en un material elástico, que recubre al menos en parte la superficie de soporte (8), comprendiendo este tampón (9): - una primera superficie (11) que se adhiere a la indicada superficie de soporte (8); y - una segunda superficie (12), opuesta a la indicada primera superficie (11); - una segunda capa (10), llamada pulidor, que recubre al menos en parte el indicado tampón (9), comprendiendo este pulidor (10): - una primera superficie (13) que se adhiere a la segunda superficie (12) del tampón (9); y - una segunda superficie (14), llamada de pulido, opuesta a la primera (13), y apta para pulir la superficie óptica (3) de la lente (1) por fricción contra esta; útil (5) caracterizado porque la mencionada superficie de pulido (14) es de forma tórica, comprendiendo esta superficie (14) dos meridianos principales (M1, M2) circulares que presentan unas curvaturas respectivas C1, C2 tales que el valor de la curvatura C1 es estrictamente inferior al valor de la curvatura C2, y porque, con el fin de estar en posición de pulir una superficie óptica (3) que es atórica, el tampón (9) está adaptado para ser comprimido elásticamente, mientras que el pulidor (10) está adaptado para ser deformado para acoplarse a la indicada superficie atórica (3).
