Abstract: of the disclosure Phosphane and/or methylphosphane are recovered from a waster gas mixture containing these phosphanes in admixture with hydrogen, nitrogen and/or non-polar lower hydrocarbons. More specifically, the waste gas mixture is contacted at -20 to +30.degree.C with a zeolite having a pore size of 5 x 10-8 to 15 x 10-8cm. The phosphanes are separated from the remainder of the waste gas mixture by absorbing them on the zeolite until it is saturated therewith. Next, the zeolite is heated to 180 to 230.degree.C and the desorbing phosphanes are collected.

Abstract: 1356892 Dialkyl phosphine oxides KNAPSACK AG 17 Oct 1972 [12 Nov 1971] 47815/72 Heading C2P Compounds of formula RR 1 P(O)H where R and R 1 are C 1 -C 3 alkyl, are prepared by oxidizing a hydrohalic acid solution of a dialkyl phosphine with an oxidant having an oxidizing power greater than that of atmospheric oxygen, the oxidant being added substantially in the stoichiometric proportions necessary to effect the oxidation. The oxidation may be carried out at temperatures between 0 and 100‹ C. The dialkyl phosphine solution may have a concentration between 1 and 50 weight per cent and may be prepared by diluting a concentrated solution of dialkyl phosphine in concentrated hydrohalic acid with water or a solvent miscible with water and substantially inert with respect to the components of the solution. The dialkyl phosphine solution may contain between 1 and 40 weight per cent of acid. The hydrohalic acid is preferably hydrochloric acid and the oxidant is preferably chlorine or aqueous hydrogen peroxide.

Abstract: 1518665 Stabilized red phosphorus HOECHST AG 2 May 1977 [19 May 1976] 18259/77 Heading C1A [Also in Division C2] Stabilized phosphorus comprises a homogeneous blend of red phosphorus particles of size at most 2 mm with the Al, Mg, Ca or Zn salt of the orthophosphoric acid mono- or di-ester of lauryl alcohol tetraethyleneglycol ether, stearyl alcohol, or phenol hexaethyleneglycol ether or a mixture thereof, the salt being present in amount 0À25-5% by weight. The composition may be prepared by heating a suspension of the P and the ester(s) in water to 60‹-95‹ and adding an aqueous solution of a water-soluble salt of Al, Mg, Ca or Zn, filtering and drying.

Abstract: An error notification system (7) operated independently of a connected computer (7) receives signals indicating an error condition in operation of the computer (7), matches the signal with a prerecorded message (94), and dials phone numbers (95) from a priority list of responsible parties. When a call is answered, the notification system announces the message (103), informing the answering agent of the error condition, and requests a response requiring the person (98). If the requested response is not given, the system dials the phone number next in priority (101), and so on, until a person answers and provides the human response. The system is applied to networked computers, such as file servers, and in one embodiment, the answering party can initiate corrective action (108).
