Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a hair cosmetic for providing hair with a sufficiently moist feeling and luster, having excellently settling properties of hair. SOLUTION: This hair cosmetic comprises (A) preferably 0.01-10 wt.% (in the total composition), more preferably 0.05-5 wt.%, much more preferably 0.1-3 wt.% of a polyacrylic acid amide of the formula ((n) is 500-500,000), (B) preferably 0.05-10 wt.%, more preferably 0.1-5 wt.%, much more preferably 0.5-5 wt.% of a betaine and (C) optionally a silicone derivative, a surfactant, a higher alcohol, a hydrocarbon, a water-soluble polymer, a liquid lanolin, etc. The average molecular weight of the component A is preferably 40,000 to 20,000,000, more preferably 100,000 to 10,000,000. The component B is an N-alkyl substituted substance of an amino acid and, for example, glycinebetaine, γ- butyrolactone or formalin, etc., may be cited.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prepare a non-sticky hair cosmetic containing a carrageenan containing two kinds of carrageenans in the single chain in an arbitrary ratio and capable of imparting an excellent hair-setting force and suppressing the flaking of hair. SOLUTION: This hair cosmetic contains a carrageenan containing two kinds of κ-carrageenan and λ-carrageenan in the single chain preferably in an arbitrary of 25:75 to 75:25. The carrageenan is compound in an amount of approximately 0.01-20wt.%, especially approximately 0.1-10wt.%, in the hair cosmetic. The hair cosmetic preferably contains one or more kinds of silicones and silicone derivatives in addition to the carrageenan. The silicones and the silicone derivative include dimethylpolysilicone of formula I [(a) is 3-20000] and methylphenylpolysiloxane of formula II [(b1 ) is 1-20000] or formula III [(b2 )+(b3 )=1 to 500].

Abstract: PURPOSE:To provide a hair-treating agent composition free from disagreeable smell and capable of easily deforming hair to desired form in a short time without damaging the skin and the hair. CONSTITUTION:This composition having the above effects is composed of (A) the 1st solution containing 1-20wt.% of a sulfite or a bisulfite as an essential component and having pH of 5-12 and (B) the 2nd solution consisting of an aqueous solution of pH 3-10 containing (i) 1-20wt.% of one or more compounds expressed by formula [R is (CH2)n; n is integer of 1-5; R is (CH2)m; m is integer of 0-4; A is OH, CH3, NH3, CHO, COOM or SO3M; M is H or alkali metal; B is H, CH2OH, CH3, CH2NH2, CHO, COA, COOM or SO3M] and (ii) 0.1-10wt.% of a bromate or hydrogen peroxide. The quick hair-deforming power of the agent can be improved by compounding a mercapto compound to the 1st solution and/or compounding a cationic surfactant to the 2nd solution.
