    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance the dyeability of a hair-dyeing cosmetic using an acidic dye, and to improve the touch of the cosmetic after used.
    SOLUTION: The acidic hair dyeing cosmetic comprises (A) 0.01 to 10 wt.% of a cationic surfactant, (B) 0.01 to 10 wt.% of an amphiphilic compound which forms a liquid crystal structure at a temperature of 0 to 50°C in an aqueous system and is selected from the following (B-1) to (B-6): (B-1) a glyceryl polyol, (B-2) a methyl branched fatty acid ester, (B-3) a branched fatty acid glycoglycerolipid, (B-4) an alkyltrismethylol or alkyltrismethylolamide, (B-5) an α-mono(methylbranched alkyl)glyceryl ether, and (B-6) phytantriol, (C) 0.01 to 10 wt.% of an acidic dye, (D) 0.1 to 10 wt.% of a weak acid or its salt, and (E) water. The [(E)/(B)] ratio of the component (E) to the component (B) is 99/1 to 1/99, and the pH is 2 to 6.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To obtain an aqueous solution of pretreatment for controlling permanent wave formation ability and preventing damage of hair by coating hair with the aqueous solution before permanent wave treatment. Hair treated with the pretreating agent forms uniform wave from the root to the tip even if the tip of the hair is excessively damaged, can maintain the waved shape for a long period of time and has hair protecting effects.
