Abstract:
The invention relates to a method for filling a storage tank, in particular, a vehicle tank, with a pressurized, gaseous medium, in particular hydrogen, in which each storage tank (8) is filled with said medium via a tank supply line (30) and a filling coupling (19) which is provided on one end section (30a) of the tank supply line (30). Prior to filling the storage tank (8), a cold accumulator (7) provided upstream of the filling coupling (19) on the end section (30a) of the tank supply line (30) is cooled to a predetermined operational temperature such that the medium which, in a first phase of the filling of the storage tank (8), flows through the tank supply line (30) where it is in particular warmed, is cooled by the cold accumulator (7) to a predetermined desired temperature. When the tank supply line (30) has been cooled due to the effect of the medium flowing back, said cold accumulator (7) is cooled again in a second phase of filling the storage tank (8) by a medium flowing back. The invention also relates to a corresponding filling device.
Abstract:
The invention relates to a storage device (1) for storing a gas (20), in particular for storing gaseous hydrogen, comprising a first chamber (30) for receiving the gas (20) and a locking device (32) for closing and opening a flow path (33) connected to the first chamber (30). The storage device (1) according to the invention comprises an adjustment unit (40) for volume change of the first chamber (30). The invention further relates to a gas storage unit (100) comprising the storage device (1) according to the invention and to a method for the at least partial filling or emptying of the gas storage unit (100).
Abstract:
The invention relates to a constant-pressure storage unit and to a method for operating a constant-pressure storage unit, for storing and dispensing hydrogen (12A, 12C) under constant pressure, which constant-pressure storage unit comprises at least one constant-pressure store (A, B, C, D), which is divided into two regions by a movable separating piston (11A, 11B, 11C, 11D), at least one liquid pump (9) for conveying a liquid (1), and at least one liquid store (4), wherein a measuring device (2) measures the liquid level in the liquid store (4) and gives a signal to the liquid pump (9) by means of a control unit (5). In this way, the liquid pump can be stopped in time when the constant-pressure storage unit is empty.
Abstract:
The invention relates to a method for filling a storage container (a vehicle tank, for example) (20) with a pressurized gaseous medium, in particular in the form of hydrogen. A supply storage system (2) for storing the hydrogen is connected to the storage container (20) to be filled via a tank supply line (3) and a filling valve (4). Prior to filling the storage container (20) with the medium, a flow of the medium is conducted through the tank supply line (3) while the filling valve (4) is closed in order to cool the tank supply line (3) to a definable target temperature, and the flow is discharged from the tank supply line (3) via a line (5) which branches off upstream of the filling valve (4). The invention further relates to a filling device (1) for filling a storage container (20).
Abstract:
The invention relates to a method for performing a pressure test on a tank (e.g. hydrogen tank) and to an apparatus for performing the method according to the invention. According to the invention, the tank (4) is connected via a tank valve (10) to a tank feed line (3) which has a first valve (5) for shutting off the tank feed line (5), wherein during the pressure test prior to the tank (4) being filled through the tank feed line (3) a flow of medium, with the first valve (5) closed, is directed into the tank (4) via a bypass line (7) bridging the first valve (5), wherein the flow of medium is throttled in the bypass line (7) such that a tank feed pressure acting on the tank valve (10) rises in a controlled manner, wherein the tank valve (10) opens particularly when the tank feed pressure exceeds the pressure prevailing in the tank (4).
