    Abstract: The invention relates to a radiotelephony unit for the communication within a time division multiple access (TDMA) with resource distribution (trunked) within the time slots, of a radio channel comprising predetermined linearization intervals (120) for the transmission of some training signals necessary for the linearization, interspersed between other traffic or control time slots. According to the invention, the radiotelephony unit 5) which is located remotely relative to a base station (6) comprises a linearization circuit (10), a frequency increasing converter (11), a power amplifier (12), a reaction loop (13), a frequency lowering converter (14), a phase detector (15) and a phase adjusting circuit 16), the linearization circuit (10) and the phase adjusting circuit (16) being controlled by some signal generating means (20), namely a microprocessor. The radiotelephony unit (5) also comprising an antenna (21) connected to an antenna tuning switch (22) and a receiver (24) is provided with a linearization function which allows it to generate a training signal during a linearization interval (120), said training signal being necessary for the linearization of the power amplifier (12) during said interval, prior to the transmission of the signals during one of the other said time slots and independently of the transmission thereof.
