Abstract: A microphone array (20) senses an audio source (22). An audio processor (34) is responsive to the microphone array (20) to determine a direction (24) of the audio source (22) in relation to a frame of reference (32). The direction (24) comprises an azimuth angle (26) and an altitude angle (30). A wide-angle digital camera system (40) captures at least one wide-angle image. An image processor (44) is responsive to the audio processor (34) to process the at least one wide-angle image to generate at least one perspective corrected image (46) in the direction (24) of the audio source (22).

Abstract: The speakerphone accessory 100 has a high-level speaker assembly 222 that includes a transducer (500, figure 5) coupled to first and second resonators. The first resonator (502, figure 5) is most efficient at a high frequency and the second resonator (504, figure 5) has maximum response at a low frequency. The frequency ranges produced by the first and second resonators (502 and 504, figure 5) overlap to reproduce frequencies between the high and low frequencies. The high-level speaker assembly 222 provides an acoustic bandpass having improved response when compared to the response of the transducer (500, figure 5) alone. The speakerphone accessory 100 has a housing 130 and porting structure which allows the accessory 100 and attached portable telephone 102 to be used in a variety of positions without obstructing sound generated by the high level speaker assembly 222.

Abstract: A speakerphone accessory (100) is provided for use with a portable telephone (102). The speakerphone accessory (100) has a high-level speaker assembly (222) that includes a transducer (500) coupled to first and second resonators (502, 504). The first and second resonators (502, 504) are designed so that the first resonator (502) is most efficient at a high frequency while the second resonator (504) has maximum response at a low frequency. The frequency ranges produced by the first and second resonators (502, 504) overlap to reproduce frequencies between the high and low frequencies. The high-level speaker assembly (222), therefore, provides an acoustic bandpass having improved response when compared to the response of the transducer (500) alone. Abstract: Disclosed is a portable audio device and a quick-disconnect passive acoustic cover. The portable audio device includes a housing and a speaker supported by the housing that have a first system frequency response. The speaker of the portable audio device has a first side and a second side associated with a first audio port and a second audio port, associated with a first acoustic load and a second acoustic load respectively. The housing is configured to removably receive the cover which is configured to redefine at least one of the first acoustic load and the second acoustic load to replace the first system frequency response with a second system frequency response.
