    Abstract: PURPOSE:To obtain a coloring body excellent in dyeing capacity even in the presence of an org. solvent or under a high temp. atmosphere, by using a colorant wherein an inorg. value/org. value ratio is a specific one or more. CONSTITUTION:A colorant adsorbing active film layer 2 is formed on an inorg. or metallic base material 1 and a colorant 4 wherein the ratio of an inorg. value to an org. value is 0.8 or more is allowed to dye the pores 3 of the film layer 2. Further, an overcoat layer 5 composed of a material having no compatibility with the colorant 4 is formed on the film layer 2. The evaporation or sublimation temp. of the colorant 4 is 120-300 deg.C and the film layer 2 is composed of an active alumina layer. This active alumina layer is formed by applying a colloidal alumina aqueous dispersion having electric conductivity of 3.70mOMEGA cm or more and drying and baking the coating layer and the thickness of the formed film after baking is 1-5mum.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To disperse molecules of dye sufficiently and to improve reproducibility of dimension in a stage for migrating a dye contained in an ink layer in gaseous state into an activated film layer by heating and dyeing the activated layer by performing heating in the atmosphere under reduced pressure. CONSTITUTION:An activated film layer comprising activated alumina and/or activated silica is formed on a transparent substrate; metal mask having a desired pattern hole formed thereon is mounted on the activated film layer. Further, a transfer sheet provided with an ink layer contg. a sublimable dye or/and a vaporizable dye by thermal fusion is mounted thereon. The transfer sheet is heated at a temp. where the dye migrates in vaporized state into fine pores in the activated film layer, and in the atmosphere under reduced pressure; thus, a fine pattern having sufficient dyeing concn. is obtd. Then, a hard and transparent resin is coated on the fine pores on the activated film layer. An overcoated layer is obtd. be heating.

    Abstract: PURPOSE: To form a decorative pattern having various glosses by a method wherein a pattern is printed on the surface of stainless steel with frits having different characteristics and, after baking, etching or polishing treatment is carried out to remove a part of the frit coating thickness.
    CONSTITUTION: A surface of stainless steel is subjected to buff polishing and, by using a frit with high acid resistance and a frit with low acid resistance, a pattern with an appropriate picture pattern is printed. In this case, a coloring agent may be added to the frit with high acid resistance. The resultant printed stainless steel is baked to form a coating layer and, thereafter, a part free from the coating layer is etched by a FeCl
    3 solution or polished by buff polishing or the like. Next, the treated stainless steel is immersed in a 10% HCl solution to remove only the frit with low acid resistance. The resultant part is made transparent and a metal gloss of the stainless steel is remained and a part of the frit with high acid resistance forms a opaque colored picture pattern part and a part completely free from the coating becomes a satin finished surface corroded by FeCl
    3 and, thereby, a beautiful picture pattern is formed.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To print a multicolor-toned pattern on the curved-surface body easily and accurately by exfoliating a tranfer layer from a tranfer sheet prepared by laminating an elastomer film and the transfer layer on a nonelastic base sheet and by pressing the same on a substance on which transfer is made. CONSTITUTION:On the nonelastic base sheet 1 formed of vinyl chloride, nylon, etc. are laminated the elastomer film 2 formed of polyurethane, etc. and the transfer layer 4 composed of a watersoluble and adhesive pattern layer 3, whereby the transfer sheet 5 is formed. When multicolor printing is performed by using this transfer sheet 5, first the base sheet 1 is exfoliated from the transfer sheet 5 and then humidification is applied just before tranferring is conducted by using a solvent for activating a watersoluble adhesive agent. The humidified transfer layer 4 is laid on an article which is the substance on which tranfer is made with the pattern-layer side thereof being matched to some degree with the surface of the article, and later the transfer layer 4 is further pressed by a pad for transfer and closely fitted on the surface of the article to the full and thus transferring of the pattern is performed.
