Abstract: PURPOSE:To obtain a partial metallic transfer material with a three-dimensional feeling, by a vapor-deposited metallic layer covered by a patternwise screen printed layer is partially provided on a film base, and a colored ink layer and an adhesive layer are provided thereon. CONSTITUTION:A transparent pre-anchor layer 2 and the vapor-deposited metallic layer 3 are sequentially provided on a releasable film base 1, and the patternwise screen printed layer 4 is provided on the layer 3 by using an ink an ink resistant to etching. Then, etching is performed to remove the metallic layer 3 at parts not covered by the printed layer 4, and the colored ink layer 5 and the adhesive layer 6 are sequentially laminated thereon to produce the partial metallic transfer material with the three-demensional feeling. The etching-resistant ink may be an ink based on an acrylic resin, a vinyl resin, an urethane resin or the like.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To simplify production process and to improve productivity by providing an active film layer consisting of activated alumina or activated silica on a substrate and fixing a dye thereto by using a dye resist mask. CONSTITUTION:The active film layer 2 consisting of the activated alumina or activated silica is formed on the transparent substrate 1 and the dye resist mask 4 provided with patterned holes 4a is brought into tight contact therewith. A stage for heating a sublimatable due or solid dye which is evaporated by thermal melting under a reduced atmosphere by a heater 8 and migrating and fixing the evaporated dye to the layer 2 is repeated according to the required number of colors. The amt. of the dyes to be migrated is controlled by a shutter 9 provided between the substrate 1 and the heater 8. A transparent over coatlayer 5 for sealing the fine holes 6 of the layer 2 is finally formed. The production process is thereby simplified and the productivity is improved.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To facilitate printing on the surface of the nonheat-resistive material, by coating the said surface with the adhesives whose adhesive strength with the pattern layer is greater than that between the pad and the pattern layer. CONSTITUTION:An exfoliatable base sheet 1 and an adhesive pattern layer 2 are successively stacked to form a transfer sheet. At the time of transferring a pad 3 and the pattern layer 2 are to be pressed each other to transfer the pattern layer 2 to the surface of the pad 3. On the other hand, the adhesives 4 whose adhesive strength with the pattern layer 2 is greater than that between the pad 3 and the pattern layer 2 are coated on the surface of the material 5 to which the pattern is eventually transferred. Then the pad 3 to which the pattern layer 2 is transferred is pressed to the surface of the material 5.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To prevent a resist mask or a substrate from the generation of distortion due to heat and to improve the accuracy of a color filter by forming a transfer sheet and the resist mask on an active film layer and projecting laser beams to the mask to transfer dye to the active layer and dye the layer. CONSTITUTION:The active film layer 2 is formed on the transparent substrate 1 and then the transfer sheet 3 is allowed to contact with the layer 2. The sheet 3 is obtained by layer constitution consisting of a base sheet 3a transmitting laser beams and an ink layer 3b including dye, binder, and so on. The resist mask 4 having pattern holes 4a is formed on the sheet 3. When a laser beam is projected form the upper part of the mask under pressure-reduced atmosphere, the projected dye is transferred only to parts corresponding to the holes 4a to dye the layer 2. Said process is repeated in accordance with the number of necessary colors. Then, the sheet 3 and the mask 4 are removed and an overcoat layer 5 sealing fine holes 6 of the layer 2 is formed. Even if the setting order of the sheet 3 and the mask 4 is reversed, the similar result can be obtained. Consequently, the generation of distortion due to heat can be prevented and the accuracy of the color filter can be improved.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To transfer the pattern easily under a simple temperature control by a method wherein a transfer material on which a wax layer and a heatsensitive adhesive ink pattern layer are provided step by step is heated at a specified temperature the pattern is transferred onto a pad once and then onto the surface of the heatresisting base material under that temperature. CONSTITUTION:The wax layer 2 such as modified montan wax, etc. is formed on a base sheet 1 such as coated paper, etc. and a pattern layer 3 made up of heatsensitive-adhesive ink are provided on it to make the transfer material. This transfer material is preheated up to the temperature at which the wax layer 2 is softened and the ink shows adhesion property. Then, this material is welded to an unpreheated pad 4 and the ink is transferred onto the surface of the pad 4 once. After that, the heat-resisting base 5 such as pottery, etc. preheated up to the temperature at which ink shows adhesion property is pressed to the inked surface of the pad 4 to transfer the ink onto the surface of the base 5. EFFECT:Excellent productivity is obtained because the preheated temperature of the transfer material is equal to that of the heat-resisting material

Abstract: PURPOSE:To improve smoothness, heat resistance, water resistance, and light resistance of a color filter by forming a pattern colored in optional color by dyeing inside of fine pores in an activated film layer comprising activated alumina or activated silica which has been formed on a transparent substrate, and forming an overcoated layer having no affinity with the dye on the pattern. CONSTITUTION:An activated film layer comprising activated alumina and/or activated silica is formed on a transparent substrate, which is colored by dyeing the inside of fine pores in the activated film layer with a dye. Then, dot pattern, stripe pattern, or other pattern are formed on the same plane of the activated film layer in an optional color. Further, an overcoated layer having no affinity with the dye is formed thereon preventing revaporization of dye molecules which have been captured in the fine pores of the activated film layer, preventing simultaneously contamination of the film layer by unnecessary materials.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To obtain a partial metallic transfer material having a three- dimensional feeling and colored arbitrarily, by partially forming a metal vapor deposition layer, of which upper surface is covered with a screen printing layer formed in a pattern shape, at a position having a colored ink layer thereunder. CONSTITUTION:A partially colored ink layer 15, transparent pre-anchor layer 2 and a metal vapor deposition layer 3 are successively formed on a film base material 1 having releasability and a pattern like screen printing layer 4 is formed on the metal vapor deposition layer 3 at a position having at least the color ink layer 5 thereunder using ink having an etching resist property. Subsequently, that part of the metal vapor deposition layer 3 not covered with the printing layer 4 is removed by etching and, thereafter, a color ink layer 5 and an adhesive layer 6 are successively formed. In this case, that resin constituting not only the film base material 1 but also the pre-anchor layer 2 and the color ink layer 15, having etching resistance is selectively used and, when the releasability of the film base material 1 is poor, a transparent release layer 7 may be formed on the upper surface thereof.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To easily obtain multicolored stainless steel fit for mass production by forming an oxide film having an uneven thickness on the surface of stainless steel using >=2 coating layers different from each other in acid resistance. CONSTITUTION:On the surface of stainless steel >=2 coating layers different from each other in acid resistance are formed by screen printing or other method using resins or resins and inorg. powder. The resin with higher acid resistance includes acrylic resin, and the resin with lower acid resistance includes cellulose resin such as cellulose acetate. The steel having the coated layers is dipped in a mixed soln. contg. 350-700g/l sulfuric acid and 200-400g/l chromic acid to form an oxide film having a partially uneven thickness on the steel surface. The residual coated layers on the steel surface are then removed by washing or other method to manufacture the desired multicolored stainless steel.
