PURPOSE:To make it possible to perform the accurate positional determination of a picture pattern at a transfer position, by providing sensors for respectively detecting the positions of a transfer film in the longitudinal direction and the width direction thereof in a mold provided to the side of a film positioning apparatus. CONSTITUTION:A transfer film 58 is sent to a longitudianl direction at a high speed and, when a speed changing-over longitudinal direction sensor 64 detects a speed changing-over longitudinal direction register mark 80, the speed of said film 58 is changed over to a low speed. At this time, a picture pattern 86 has passed a sensor 66 and the speed of said film 58 is changed over to a low speed while the longitudinal direction sensor 66 provided to a movable mold 46 is brought to a detectable state and, when a longitudinal direction register mark 82 is detected by the sensor 66, the film 58 is stopped and the positional determination thereof in the longitudinal direction is performed. In the next step, the film 58 is moved to a width direction while supported by a guide roll and, when a width direction register mark 84 is detected by a width direction register mark 68, the film is stopped and the position thereof in the width direction is determined. By this method, the picture pattern is accurately positioned at a transfer position.

PURPOSE:To produce an injection molded article having a transferred pattern layer and free of cracks or wrinkles by a method wherein a transfer sheet is perfectly closely contacted to the inside surface of a receiving mold by an elastic body, and after heat-forming the sheet, a molten resin is injected into the mold. CONSTITUTION:The transfer sheet 3 consisting of a base sheet 1 and a transfer layer 2 is placed on the receiving mold 5 with the transfer layer 2 directed upward, then the transfer sheet 3 is pressed by the elastic body 6 (rubber, sponge or the like) and is heated to perfectly closely contact the sheet 3 to the inside surface of the mold 5. Therefore, the elastic body 6 is removed, an injection mold 7 is clamped onto the receiving mold 5 and the molten resin 8 is injected into the mold. After the resin is solidified, the mold is opened and the patterned plastic molded article 9 having the transfer layer 2 is separated from the base film 1. The heating of the transfer sheet 3 is carried out by heating the elestic body 6 or the receiving mold 5, or by directly heating the sheet 3. Accoringly, generation of cracks or wrinkles is prevented.

PURPOSE:To easily obtain multicolored stainless steel fit for mass production by forming an oxide film having an uneven thickness on the surface of stainless steel using >=2 coating layers different from each other in acid resistance. CONSTITUTION:On the surface of stainless steel >=2 coating layers different from each other in acid resistance are formed by screen printing or other method using resins or resins and inorg. powder. The resin with higher acid resistance includes acrylic resin, and the resin with lower acid resistance includes cellulose resin such as cellulose acetate. The steel having the coated layers is dipped in a mixed soln. contg. 350-700g/l sulfuric acid and 200-400g/l chromic acid to form an oxide film having a partially uneven thickness on the steel surface. The residual coated layers on the steel surface are then removed by washing or other method to manufacture the desired multicolored stainless steel.

PURPOSE:To easily obtain a cutout pattern tone printed matter having a feeling of ruggedness faithful to an original picture, by a method wherein a relief matrix is produced from a master form obtained by adhering a plurality of pieces of paper or the like onto a base material, and high-frequency molding is conducted by using the matrix. CONSTITUTION:Pieces of a paper, a cloth, a plastic film or the like are appropriately adhered to the base material such as a paper, a cloth or a plastic film to obtain the master form. A silicone resin material for high-frequency molding is charged into the master form, and after hardening, the silicone resin is released to obtain the relief matrix 1. A synthetic paper 2 previously printed with a pattern 3 is placed on the thus obtained relief matrix 1 in a registered condition, and thereafter high-frequency molding is conducted to obtain a cutout pattern tone printed matter.

PURPOSE:To exactly provide a pattern to the surface of a curved material, without breaking the pattern by a method in which a pad printing is applied to the surface of the curved material by using a pad of a bell jar shape, having a concavity on its top. CONSTITUTION:A transfer sheet 4 consisting of a base sheet 12, a wax layer 13, and a pattern layer 5' is placed on a hot plate 6 and heated, and a pad 2 of a temple-bell shape, having a concavity 1 on its top, is pressingly contacted with the sheet 4 to transfer the pattern layer 5' to the surface of the pad 2. The pad 2 is then pressingly contacted with the surface of an object 10 having a curved surface with a projection 9 fixed by a tool 11.

PURPOSE:To easily produce a patterned plastic molded article havig an esthetic pattern by pouring liquid components of high chemical activity into a mold previously fitted with a patterned film in the interior thereof. CONSTITUTION:The patterned film prepared by sequentially laminating a release layer, a pattern layer and an adhesive layer on a base seat is fitted to the mold in such a manner that the adhesive layer is located on the side of a pouring port. Thereafter, the liquid components of high chemical activity (e.g., a polyol and an isocyanate) are poured into the mold while mixing the components, the patterned film is pressed against the inside surface of the mold by the pourint pressure and the liquid components are cured by bringing them into mutual reaction, whereby the molded article and the patterned film are made to be one body. Then, the base film is removed by peeling off.

PURPOSE:To easily obtain a plastic molded article with a beautiful pattern free from cracks, wrincles or the like by a method wherein a transfer sheet is previously heat molded while being pressed against the inside surface of a mold for injection molding by an elastic body, prior to closing a mold. CONSTITUTION:The transfer sheet 3 having a transfer layer 2 formed on a base sheet 1 by sequentially laminating a releasing layer 10 and a pattern layer 11, is placed so that the trasfer layer 2 side is faced to the inside surface of the mold 5 for injection molding. Then, while pressing the transfer sheet 3 from the base sheet 1 side by the elastic body 6, the sheet 3 is heated so as to heat mold the sheet 3 into the shape of the inside surface of the mold 5, and the elastic body 6 is removed. In this case, since the transfer sheet 3 has been heat molded as mentioned above, it remains in contact with the inside surface of the mold 5. Thereafter, the mold 4 is closed and a molding resin 8 is filled in through the mold 5 to obtain the desired molded article provided with the pattern.
