In one or more embodiments described herein, there is provided an apparatus for a user interface, the user interface including a user interface surface, the user interface surface including at least part of a self cleaning composition, the composition being configured to draw away at least one dermatological contaminant from one or more contaminated regions of the user interface surface to thereby provide a self-cleaning user interface surface.
Abstract:
The present invention may relate to provision of a mechanism to join together the various substrate layers of a flexible display with optically clear adhesives that permit improved flexibility of the substrate layer stack and may also optically guide images to locations on a display surface that are not aligned with the display layer of a substrate layer stack. Embodiments of the present invention may provide for an improved user interface which may include enhanced flexibility and enhanced optical characteristics.

In one or more embodiments described herein, there is provided an apparatus including a support layer, a plurality of pixels, and a switch. The pixels are formed using an arrangement of respective liquid-phobic elements disposed on the support layer. The arrangement of the liquid-phobic elements is configured so as to be able to provide, when interacting with a liquid on the support layer, one or more associated plastron regions to provide a first pixel optical state. The switch is configured to be able to selectively modify one or more of said associated plastron regions to provide a second pixel optical state.
