Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide fair scheduling for all hops from a source node to a target node in a multi-hop network. SOLUTION: Flow-based scheduling of a wireless multi-hop network is rate-controlled multi-hop scheduling, or power-controlled multi-hop scheduling. Selected scheduling provides the minimized/maximized fairness in the whole of all flows within a wireless network. COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT
Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and an apparatus for adaptive registration and paging area determination.SOLUTION: An access terminal adjusts a registration area on the basis of mode and its location. Accordingly, a network also adjusts its paging area. Generally, the access terminal will transition from small registration area to large registration area on the basis of its mobility.

Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus and a method that facilitate packet aware scheduling. SOLUTION: When all pieces of the information of a packet cannot be scheduled in a single transmission period, additional resources are assigned to the transmission of the content of the packet based on the transmission constraint and/or the latency requirement of the packet. A scheduler assigns transmission bits of the packet during a single transmission period or a plurality of transmission periods based on the number of bits of the packet and the QoS of the user. Abstract:
A technique is disclosed to facilitate dual active connections by a UE device using a transmitter. A first connection is established with a first access node for wireless communication services. A first coexistence indicator provided/sent by the UE device to the first access node indicating that the UE device supports multiple concurrent connections. In response to providing the first coexistence indicator, the UE device receives a first transmit pattern and a first receive pattern. The transmitter may be configure to transmit according to the first transmit pattern for the first connection while sharing transmission resources with at least one other connection. Other aspects, embodiments, and features are also described and claimed herein.
Abstract:
A technique is disclosed to minimize service interruption at a wireless user equipment device during a handover by maintaining dual active connections during the handover. Upon initiating the handover, an initial/first connection with a first access node is maintained while establishing a second connection with a second access node. The user equipment device can receive data over the first connection and second connection during the handover. The first connection may be terminated (by the user equipment device or by timing out due to inactivity) after the handover is completed. Other aspects, embodiments, and features are also claimed and described.
Abstract:
Techniques are described for wireless communication. A method for wireless communication at a user equipment (UE) includes identifying, while the UE is in a connected mode with a network, a radio resource configuration of the UE, selecting a dedicated set of resources for the UE or a common set of resources for a plurality of UEs based at least in part on the identified radio resource configuration, and transmitting a pilot signal to the network using the selected set of resources. Methods for wireless communication at a network access device and a network access device controller are also described.
Abstract:
Abstract:
Abstract:
Certain aspects of the present disclosure provide techniques for service priority information for multi-SIM user equipment (UE) paging. An exemplary method generally includes communicating with a first network using a first set of credentials, wherein the UE includes a second set of credentials associated with a second network; receiving a paging message for an information transmission in the second network, wherein the paging message includes service priority information corresponding to the information transmission; determining, from the service priority information, a service priority value corresponding to the information transmission based, at least in part, on policy configuration information; determining whether to establish a connection in the second network in response to the paging message based, at least in part, on the service priority value; and taking one or more actions based, at least in part, on the determination.
