Abstract: Aspects relate to enhancing the provision of gaps at transitions between resources allocated for communication on access links and resources allocated for communication on backhaul links. In some examples, a child integrated access backhaul network (IAB) node may transmit a message to a parent IAB node requesting a number of guard symbols to provide a gap at transitions. In some examples, the parent IAB node may transmit the number of guard symbols provided at transitions to the child IAB node. The parent IAB node, child IAB node, and/or an IAB donor node central unit may further identify a subcarrier spacing associated with the number of guard symbols.

Abstract: Aspects of the present disclosure provide techniques for addressing scenarios where the minimum transmit power supported by an Integrated Access and Backhaul (IAB) node is above a minimum value specified by a standard. In some cases, the IAB node may signal information regarding its power configuration so a network entity of the IAB may take it into account (e.g., when allocating or scheduling resources). The power configuration may include an indication of the minimum transmit power supported by the IAB node and/or an indication of a guard band that may help the IAB node control adjacent channel leakage.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. The described techniques provide for a first IAB node determining an adjustment to at least one parameter corresponding to a cell coverage of the first IAB node based at least in part on a geographic proximity of a cell relative to the first IAB node. For example, the first IAB node may determine to adjust the parameters based reference signal measurements, signal quality measurements (e.g., received from child nodes or user equipments (UEs)), etc. In another example, the first IAB node may receive an instruction from a central unit (CU) of the IAB network to adjust the at least one parameter. The first access node may transmit an indication of the adjustment to the at least one parameter. For example, the first access node may signal the adjustments to the CU, child IAB nodes, UEs and/or, other IAB nodes.

Abstract: The present disclosure relates to methods and devices for wireless communication at a wireless device or integrated access and backhaul (IAB) node. In one aspect, the wireless device may determine a frequency synchronization accuracy for the wireless device. The wireless device may also transmit an indication of the determined frequency synchronization accuracy for the wireless device. Additionally, the wireless device may determine an absolute frequency based on a combination of measurements from at least one synchronization source and a frequency of the wireless device, where the frequency synchronization accuracy is based on the absolute frequency.

Abstract: When moving within an area covered by an Integrated access and backhaul (IAB) network, a mobile IAB node may come into proximity with another stationary or mobile IAB node that may have a same physical cell identifier (PCI) as the mobile IAB node. PCI collision issue may occur. Aspects presented herein address the possible PCI collisions. In an aspect of the disclosure, a method, a computer-readable medium, and an apparatus are provided. The apparatus may be an IAB node configured to determine a configuration associated with PCI management of a PCI of the IAB node. The apparatus may be further configured to change the PCI of the IAB node based on the determined configuration.

Abstract: Aspects relate to a soft physical cell identifier (PCI) change within a wireless network. A scheduling entity may communicate with a set of one or more scheduled entities within a first cell utilizing a first PCI. The scheduling entity may determine that a second PCI of a second cell co-located with the first cell has been assigned to the scheduling entity, for example, as a result of a PCI collision. The scheduling entity may implement a soft PCI change from the first PCI to the second PCI during a transition period within which the set of one or more scheduled entities may be transferred from the first cell to the second cell. The scheduling entity may then discontinue using the first PCI after completion of the transition period.

Abstract: The systems and methods described herein support efficient SDM operation in IAB networks. A first node receives a semi-static resource allocation from a CU based on at least one multiplexing capability of the first node. The first node communicates with a second node based on the semi-static resource allocation. The first node also transmits a change request to the CU to modify the semi-static resource allocation, and the first node may communicate with the second node based on the modified semi-static resource allocation. The at least one multiplexing capability includes at least one of SDM or FDM, including full duplex or half duplex. The at least one multiplexing capability is also with respect to one or more transmission direction combinations of the first node.
