Abstract:
A method, an apparatus, and a computer-readable medium for wireless communication are provided. In one aspect, the apparatus is configured to determine a target receiver power level for uplink transmissions received at the apparatus, to determine uplink power control information based on the determined target receiver power level for UL MU-MIMO transmission or UL OFDMA transmission, and to transmit a frame that includes the determined uplink power control information to a station scheduled by the apparatus for uplink transmission.
Abstract:
Methods and apparatus for allocating multi-user communication resources to one or more stations for uplink data transmissions are provided. In one aspect, a method for allocating multi-user communication resources to one or more stations for uplink data transmissions is provided. The method comprises generating a request frame requesting an uplink buffer report from each of the one or more stations, the request frame selectively requesting that the uplink buffer report indicate either an amount of data in an uplink buffer or a requested amount of time to transmit the data in the uplink buffer. The method comprises transmitting the request frame to each of the one or more stations. The method comprises receiving the uplink buffer report in a report frame from each of the one or more stations.
Abstract:
Methods, devices, and computer program products for traffic information signaling in a wireless communications network are disclosed. In one aspect, a method of wireless communication network is disclosed. The method includes selecting, from a variable number of control fields, one or more control fields for inclusion in a frame. The method further includes generating the frame comprising the selected number of control fields, each control field comprising an end of control field, the end of control field storing an indicator indicative of an end of the selected number of control fields or a presence of another control field in the frame. The method further includes transmitting the frame.
Abstract:
A method, an apparatus, and a computer-readable medium for wireless communication are provided. The apparatus is configured to determine a communication deferral policy within a BSS associated with the apparatus. The apparatus is configured to receive a message from a second wireless device. The apparatus is configured to determine a message type of the message. The apparatus is configured to determine whether the message is associated with an OBSS based on the determined message type. The apparatus is configured to determine whether to defer communications based on the communication deferral policy, the message type, and whether the message is associated with the OBSS.
Abstract:
Methods, systems, and devices are described for wireless communication at a receiving device. A receiving device may receive a first physical layer header of a first wireless local area network (WLAN) protocol data unit over a shared radio frequency spectrum band. The first physical layer header may include at least a first basic service set (BSS) identifier and a first device association identifier (AID). The receiving device may perform, based at least in part on the first BSS identifier and the first device AID, an intraframe operation including a power saving operation and/or a receive filtering operation.
Abstract:
Methods and apparatus for channel state information feedback are provided. In various aspects, a message is transmitted requesting channel feedback information. In some aspects, a first portion of the message is transmitted according to a first or second, and contains first information intended for a first or second set of wireless communication devices compatible with the first or second format respectively. In some aspects, a second portion of the first message is transmitted according to the second format, and contains second information intended for the second set of wireless communication devices compatible with the second format. In some aspects, the second message comprises a number of tones or spatial streams for which channel feedback information is requested, or other channel feedback information parameters.
Abstract:
Systems and methods for wireless communication are disclosed. In one aspect an access point transmits a message to a first device and a second device on a first channel, the message sufficient to inform the first device to camp on a first channel during a time slot and the message sufficient to inform the second device to camp on a second channel during the time slot. The access point further determines whether the first channel is busy during the time slot. If the first channel is determined to not be busy during the time slot, the access point communicates with the first device on the first channel during the time slot. If the first channel is determined to be busy during the time slot, the access point communicates with the second device on the second channel during the time slot.
Abstract:
Methods and apparatus for managing a wireless medium include, in one aspect, a method including generating a frame, the frame including a plurality of contiguous schedule blocks, each of the schedule blocks including a first indicator identifying a non-overlapping time interval during a transmission opportunity, and one or more second indicators of one or more devices to communicate within the identified time interval, wherein at least one of the schedule blocks is generated to identifying a plurality of devices to communicate on the medium during the corresponding identified time interval; and transmitting the frame from the device.
Abstract:
Methods and apparatus for multiple user uplink are provided. In one aspect, a method includes receiving, at a wireless device, a trigger message allocating one or more wireless transmission resources, each resource allocated to a plurality of stations. The method further includes determining whether to transmit over the allocated resources based on a contention procedure. The method further includes selectively transmitting over the allocated resources based on said determining.
Abstract:
Methods and apparatus for adjusting transmission power in wireless networks are provided. One aspect of the disclosure provides an apparatus for wireless communication. The apparatus includes a processing system configured to receive a message instructing each of multiple devices to transmit a packet at least partially concurrently with each transmission of the other multiple devices. The processing system is further configured to generate the packet. The packet includes an indicator having a value greater than a time associated with a transmission of the packet. An interface is configured to provide the packet for transmission.
