Abstract:
Long Range Low Power (LRLP) for narrowband loT within (coexistence) the IEEE 802.11 standard. A mixed mode preamble is proposed consisting in a legacy 802.11 preamble part (20 MHz bandwidth) followed by an LRLP preamble part (narrowband) and LRLP data. This can be seen also as a concatenation of the legacy preamble and a Greenfield LRLP packet. Indication within HE-SIG A field of the legacy preamble that a LRLP packet is following. Multiple selectable configurations of the LRLP preamble (STF, LTF, SIG and repetitions of LTF) are proposed. Single User (SU) or Multi-User (MU) LRLP configuration.
Abstract:
Resource allocation signaling in a high efficiency wireless local area network (WLAN) is disclosed. An access point (AP) may generate a resource unit (RU) size indicator in a first WLAN signaling field, the RU size indicator decodable by a set of stations. The AP may also generate a common user field in a second WLAN signaling field, such that a size of the common user field may be based on the RU size indicator of the first WLAN signaling field. The AP may generate a station-specific field in the second WLAN signaling field, such that a position of the a station-specific field corresponds to one or more RUs associated with the a station-specific field. The AP may then transmit a WLAN preamble that includes the first WLAN signaling field followed by the second WLAN signaling field.
Abstract:
Methods and apparatus for channel state information feedback are provided. In various aspects, a message is transmitted requesting channel feedback information. In some aspects, a first portion of the message is transmitted according to a first or second, and contains first information intended for a first or second set of wireless communication devices compatible with the first or second format respectively. In some aspects, a second portion of the first message is transmitted according to the second format, and contains second information intended for the second set of wireless communication devices compatible with the second format. In some aspects, the second message comprises a number of tones or spatial streams for which channel feedback information is requested, or other channel feedback information parameters.

In one aspect, an apparatus is configured to transmit user data in a first symbol of a first symbol type. The first symbol type has a first symbol duration, a first frequency bandwidth, and a first tone plan. The first tone plan includes a first valid start tone index, a first valid end tone index, and a first set of DC tones. The apparatus is further configured to transmit an LTF in a second symbol of a second symbol type. The second symbol type has a second symbol duration, a second frequency bandwidth, and a second tone plan. The second tone plan includes a second valid start tone index, a second valid end tone index, and a second set of DC tones.
Abstract:

One aspect of this disclosure provides a method of wireless communication. The method includes generating, by an apparatus, an aggregated media access control protocol data unit (A- MPDU) frame comprising a plurality of A-MPDU sub-frames, wherein at least one sub- frame of the plurality of A-MPDU sub-frames is addressed to at least a first device and at least one other sub-frame of the plurality of A-MPDU sub-frames is addressed to at least a second device. The method comprises inserting an indication that the A-MPDU frame is addressed to at least the first and second devices into a physical layer convergence procedure (PLCP) protocol data unit (PPDU) field.
Abstract:
Methods and apparatus for providing wireless messages according to various tone plans can include a method of wireless communication. The method includes allocating a first allocation unit associated with a first tone plan having a first number of tones, for communication of one or more wireless messages by a wireless device. The method further includes allocating a second allocation unit, associated with a second tone plan having a second number of tones different from the first number of tones, for communication of one or more wireless messages by the wireless device. The method further includes selecting a combined tone plan for the wireless device based on at least the first tone plan and the second tone plan. The method further includes providing a wireless message for transmission by the wireless device according to the combined tone plan.
Abstract:
