Abstract: PURPOSE: To provide a composition consisting of a compound containing reactive unsaturated group and a compound containing mercapto group, and giving an excellent transparent disk having high surface strength, high crack resistance, extremely low hygroscopicity and stable refractive index by casting.
CONSTITUTION: The objective composition is composed of (A) a compound having ≥2 reactive unsaturated groups in one molecule and (B) a compound having ≥2 mercapto groups in one molecule. The component A is e.g. divinylbenzene, ethylene glycol diacrylate, diallyl phthalate, etc., and the component B is e.g. dipentene dimercaptan, ethylcyclohexyl dimercaptan, etc. The equivalent ratio of A/B is (1W10)/1, preferably (1W5)/1.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To produce an acetylenic high polymer continuously at low manufacturing cost, by employing a loop polymerizer. CONSTITUTION:From a material feeder (numeral 1 is a feeder for acetylene, 2 is a feeder for a solvent, 3 is a feeder for a base catalyst, 4 is a feeder for a promotor, and 5 is a feeder for a comonomer), each material is fed continuously to a loop polymerizer 6, polymerized while being moved through the inside of the loop at a high speed by means of a screw 7, and the polymer is withdrawn after a predetermined residence time by opening a discharge valve 8. An equal or smaller amount of a diethylene monomer may be used in combination with acetylene (derivative). A Ziegler catalyst, a Luttinger catalyst or the like is used. The polymerization temperature is preferably about -100-200 deg.C, and the polymerization pressure is preferably about 10kg/cm or below.

CONSTITUTION:100pts.wt. thermoplastic resin (e.g., polyethylene, etc.) is blended with 0.5-50pts.wt. inorganic filler (e.g., carbon black, etc.) to give a composition. 1-70wt% composition is sufficiently dispersed into 99-30wt% medium (e.g., polyethylene glycol, etc.) having substantially no compatibility with the resin at a temperature >= the melting point or the softening point of the resin and the medium while stirring, and the medium is dissolved or washed and removed by the use of water or a low-boiling liquid organic compound.

CONSTITUTION:The objective elastomer composed of a copolymer having an ethylene content of 40-90wt%, the crystallinity of ethylene of 1-20%, and an intrinsic viscosity of 1.0-2.0dl/g measured in decaline at 135 deg.C,is obtained by copolymerizing at least ethylene and a 2-12C alpha-olefin in the presence of a catalyst system derived from (A) a solid catalyst component obtained by the treatment of (i) a solid component containing magnesium atom, halogen atom, and a transition metal element and (ii) a 4-8-membered organic compound containing oxygen atom and/or nitrogen atom in the ring, and (B) an organoaluminum compound.
