Abstract: PURPOSE:To accurately feed frames and to prevent an image from missing due to distorted tape caused by the switching time of a switching mechanism by setting forward the frames by the amount of the frames corresponding to the frames fed instead of an amount of the time corresponding to the switching time of the switching mechanism part in a single direction when a tape is fed in forward direction or reverse direction. CONSTITUTION:In an information reproducing device in which the running of a tape, the driving of T and S reels 5 and 4 of a magnetic tape 1 are made by a single motor 13 by means of a switching mechanism part 14 for the capstan motor 13, the frames are set forward by the amount of the frames fed instead of the amount of time corresponding to the switching time of the switching mechanism part 14 in a single direction when the tape is fed in the forward direction or the reverse direction.

CONSTITUTION:This reproducing circuit has a frequency conversion circuit 7 for converting a reproduced low band chroma signal into its original frequency by means of a conversion carrier, a color shear preventing circuit 12 for varying the phase of the conversion carrier when a frequency-converted chroma signal generates a color shear and a DOC detection circuit 9 for detecting a noise section at the time of variable-speed reproducing. During the period of the noise section at the time of variable-speed reproducing, the operation of the circuit 12 is inhibited.

CONSTITUTION:When information is recorded in a recording medium 10, by the first receiving means 2 and another receiving means 4 and switching means 5, 7, 13 and 18 changeovering the received signals by the means 2 and the signals by the means 4, the received signals by the means 4 are outputted from a first output terminal 13c for a monitor 17 and the received signals by the means 2 or the external input signals are outputted from an output terminal 13e when the received signals by the means 2 or the external input signals are recorded. Consequently, while the received signals by the first receiving means or the external input signals are recorded, the video and audio signals of the received signals by the second receiving means are enjoyed.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To start operation based upon a new operation mode obtained by the switching of the preceding operation mode quickly always from a specific initial status by stopping the traveling of a tape under the tracking status on a prescribed recording track to switch the current operation mode. CONSTITUTION:A tracking control means executes tracking control on the basis of a tracking error signal formed by a frequency signal component which is a difference between the frequency of a reproduced pilot signal reproduced from a recording track on a magnetic tape and that of a reference pilot signal so that a head traces the center of the objective recording track. A stop control means stops the tape traveling under the status that the head is tracked on a prescribed recording track on the basis of the operation of the tracking control means and the stop control means. Consequently, relative positional relation between the recording track on the magnetic tape and the head at the start of operation in a new operation mode is always fixed.

A capstan motor 5, on which a faster responding tracking survo is applied by the tracking error signal, the gain of which is raised, travels a tape 1 to an objected position where an objected recording track TR on the tape 1 is correctly traced by each of magnetic heads 8A and 8A' and stops it at the objected position by a brake signal.
