Abstract: PURPOSE:To eliminate that an erroneous erasure operation or the like is caused by a method wherein a head bias voltage is applied to a ring coil, for shielding, which is installed between a ring coil on a rotary head for recording and reproduction and a ring coil on a rotary head for erase. CONSTITUTION:A recording and reproducing apparatus transmits signals, via a common rotary transformer device 5, to rotary heads 2a, 2b for recording and reproduction and to a rotary head 4 for erase. Shielding coils 7, 9 are installed between the following: ring coils 6, 10 on the rotary heads 2a, 2b for recording and reproduction at the rotary transformer device 5; and a ring coil 8 on the rotary head 4 for erase. A head bias voltage is applied to the ring coils 7, 9 for shielding. Thereby, even in an ON/OFF operation in which the level of an erase signal becomes larger than required, a beat interference and an erroneous erasure operation are not caused because the recording and reproducing apparatus is magnetically shielded effectively.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To eliminate the deterioration of image quality and drop-out of the central part of reproduced images by operation of an erasing head at the time of after-recording. CONSTITUTION:Signals from heads 8A, 8b are supplied through a reproduction processing circuit 14 for video signals and a mask processing circuit 15 to a field memory 16. The erasing head 8E is operated by an erasing control signal from a computer 9 for control and is supplied by the mask control signal made wider in width than the erasing control signal to a mask signal generating circuit 20. Further, a writing control signal is supplied to the field memory 16 and writing in the field where the mask control signal is not generated is executed. Reading out is executed in the field where the mask control signal is generated. As a result, the signals are directly taken out in the period when the processing by the mask processing circuit 15 is not executed and the signals read out of the field memory 16 are taken out to a video output terminal 18 in the period when the processing is executed.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To stabilize tracking, by providing a means which samples a tracking error, and a means which expands a sampling interval to a reproducing pilot signal interval different from a reference pilot signal frequency. CONSTITUTION:By expanding a sampling interval t2 by a sampling signal SP of the period t1 side of an original (tau), the interval side of a sampling hold output SH, where an ATF error descends than ever, is sampled extra, as shown in figure K. And a voltage obtained from a low-pass filter 31 becomes a voltage ED smaller than an EO, and a tracking position is shifted in a delayed direction. Therefore, when the optimum tracking position is shifted due to a step by the mounting error of a head, or dispersion in characteristics, a shift to the optimum tracking position can be obtained by adjusting the lengths of periods t1 and t3 of the sampling signal SP corresponding to the quantity of the shift, and also, noise can be reduced. In this way, it is possible to always perform reproduction at the optimum tracking position.

This device is provided with a count down circuit 23 counting a rotary pulse from a rotary pulse generating circuit 21, a counter 24 and a read/write circuit 25 generating a read/write control signal based on the output from the circuit 23 and a memory 26 reading/writing a regenerative signal by the control signal, and reproducing is performed at a reproducing speed faster than an actual reproducing speed by 0.5 times at the time of reproducing at -1, + or -3,...+ or -n+1 times speed.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To instantly discriminate index information and hence to improve operation convenience by forcibly displaying the index information during a given period of time when a cassette incapable of recording is set by an erasing preventing member. CONSTITUTION:When a tape cassette which is under the incapable state of recording is set by the erasing preventing member, and when the incapability of recording is detected by an erasing prevention detecting circuit 25 with a control of a control circuit 24, the reproducing state is automatically effected, for instance, for one sec. During this time, the index information in recorded information is read out, and data such as, for instance, the date, time and chapter, etc., is supplied via a display circuit 19 to a television monitor 20 to be displayed by an index decoder 22 at the time of operating an operating panel 23. Consequently, whether a magnetic tape 2 is recorded with the index information or not can instantly be discriminated, while the whole information can be confirmed, and hence the operation convenience is improved.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device which can obtain a synthesis video signal that does not cause synchronous disturbance without the sudden and large rise of cost in the device by providing a synchronous addition circuit and supplying a synchronizing signal from a synchronizing generator to the synchronous addition circuit. SOLUTION: Signals Y1 and C1 constituting a reproduced color video signal is transmitted to a circuit 1. When the signals Y1 and C1 are variable speed reproduced luminance signals, chroma signals C1 are collected to a memory, and the synchronizing signal is added to a signal in a picture unit or it is exchanged. The signals Y1 and C1 from the circuit 1 are supplied to a decoder 2 and are converted into blue and red color difference signals (R1-Y1) and (B1-Y1). Signals Y2 and C2 from a circuit 12P in a deck 12 are transmitted to a decoder 4 and are converted into blue and red color difference signals (R2-Y2) and (B2-Y2). The signals from the decoders 2 and 3 are transmitted to a circuit 4 and one screen is constituted by two pictures. Signals Y3 and SS are transmitted to a circuit 5 and the synchronizing signal SS for the signal Y3 is added.
