Abstract: PURPOSE:To realize the bus system with convenience of use. CONSTITUTION:An electronic device is connected to the controller via a bus line 5. The device is operated in response to a remote control signal SRM from a commander. At setup, when a setup request and a device address are transferred from the electronic device, the transfer request for a function code or the like with the device address added thereto is transferred to the electronic device. Then the function code or the like transferred from the electronic device is stored to an area corresponding to the device address in a RAM 1d. The function code is read from the RAM 1d corresponding to the remote control signal SRM and the device address corresponding thereto is added and transferred to the electronic device to control the operation of the electronic device. The function code or the like of the electronic device is automatically stored in the RAM 1d and it is not required for the user to set the data manually and the bus system offering convenience of use is realized.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To realize concentrated monitoring of a control state of plural apparatuses by connecting plural apparatuses and a television receiver with a bus line, displaying the control state of those plural apparatuses superposed on a TV screen of its television receiver, and also, selectively deleting its superposed display. CONSTITUTION:To a coaxial cable 4, a television receiver 6, a (VCR) 10, a video disk reproducing device 13 and an audio device 16 are connected through branch devices 3, 8, 11 and 14 and branch coaxial cables 5, 9, 12 and 15, respectively, and one terminal of a signal switching device 19 is connected through a branch device 17 and a branch coaxial cable 18. Also, to an AC power source line 21 in a general household, the other terminal of the signal switching device 19 is connected through a branch line 22. The signal switching device 19 superposes a control signal flowing through a coaxial cable 4 to an AC power source line 21, and also, extracts a control signal or a control state signal superposed on the AC power source line 21 and transmits it to the coaxial cable 4 side. In such a way, on a video screen of the receiver 6, information for showing a control state of the apparatuses 10, 13, 16, etc., is superposed and displayed, and also, at every apparatus, a deletion of each superposed display can be selected.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To eliminate the need for enlargement of a key operation part even when a display screen is enlarged and to execute a remote control operation only with a small key operation part when the display picture is unnecessary by providing the key operation part and a display part so that they can be separated. CONSTITUTION:A key operation part 1A and a display part 1B are connected by inserting and fitting a connecting terminal part 4A of the key operation part 1A in a connecting terminal part 4B of the display part 1B. As for a drawing display function, when a user operates a key, a CPU10 detects the operated key by a key matrix circuit 11, and various pieces of instruction information drawn out from either a storing means 12 or a storing means 13 in relation to the key operation are displayed through a display driving circuit 20 onto a display picture 3. In the case of an ordinary remote control operation, the display part 1B and the key operation part 1A are made into a separated state, and in this case, when an operation key is depressed, the CPU10 reads a command signal accompanying the operation key from either the storing means 12 or the storing means 13, and the read command signal is passed through a light emission driving circuit 15 and sent from an infrared ray sending part 14 as an infrared ray remote control code.

Thus, in the case of conducting various operations actually, the remote commander 1 is easily gripped and a grip angle is changed along the slope of the grip 9. In this case, when the grip 9 is gripped by a hand, a center line in the vertical direction of the remote commander 1 and a center lie of a thumb operating a track ball TB are set nearly on the same line. Thus, the motion of the track ball TB in the case of shifting the cursor horizontally and the operating direction in the horizontal direction of the thumb are made in matching with each other and entry is made by natural motion of the thumb.

Then a data stream distributing device 8 selects data of a program to be received and classifies the data into video data, sound data, control data, and digital data, and videos and sound are outputted through a video decoder 12 and a sound decoder 13. An arithmetic unit 9 takes information regarding the program out of supplied control data and displays the information in real time on a display device 31 together with the current charging state independently of the videos of the program.

Then the circuit 62 converts the signal into packet signal for video, text, audio signals and a packet list is fed to the circuit 60 via a packet selection circuit 63 and the video, text, audio signals of the 1st broadcast band are set and outputted to a display device 13 and a speaker 14 via video and audio signal processing circuits 64, 65. Then the user command signal is selected in the order of an output command signal for video, text, audio signals of a specific broadcast band and a program output command signal of a specific channel in this way and the processing corresponding to each command signal is conducted.

Therefore, the operability of the remote operation command device 30 can be improved and, at the same time, the device can be miniaturized.

Also, since the remote operation commanding device necessitates no display part, the remote operation commanding device can be miniaturized, the operability can be improved, the cost can be reduced, high reliability can be obtained and the power consumption can be reduced.
