Abstract: PURPOSE:To execute an information service of transmitting data to a designated destination at a designated time through a communication line only by means of a modem telephone set even when a data terminal equipment is disconnected by supplying the data preliminarily by the data terminal equipment by making use of a data buffer function and an automatic transmission/reception function. CONSTITUTION:A control part 40 controls so that data supplied from the data terminal equipment is stored in a memory part 50. The control part 40 also analyzes control information added to the data, reads the data from the part 50 at the transmission time designated by said control information based on current time information supplied from a timer part 60, then transmits the data to the destination designated by said control information through the communication line 1. In such a way, even in a state the data terminal equipment is disconnected, the information service of transmitting the data to the designated destination at the designated time through the public communication line 1 can be executed by the modem telephone set alone.

To the computer 2, terminals such as a CRT display 2a and a loudspeaker 2b to be controlled by the output signal are connected. In the modem telephone set 1, a control means 7 to execute a control action to obtain the acoustic output and/or the display output reads acoustic data and/or display data from a memory 9, and the means executes the demonstration according to the acoustic data and/or the display data. Thus, the demonstration for stirring up the interest of the consumer can be executed.

The power switch of the personal computer 11 is turned ON and the personal computer 11 is operated by a keyboard 24 and a track pad 25. Images are picked up by the camera 10, fetched as image data and displayed at a display 26 or sent to an opposite party. At the time of changing an image pickup range, when the position of the camera 10 is changed and the direction of a camera main body part is adjusted, desired images are obtained.

As for a writing part 4, a thermal transfer is available, and a plain paper printer function obtained by combining a laser diode, a liquid crystal shutter and a transfer mechanism can be integrated. The reading part 3 and the writing part 4 are not superposed on an electric circuit part.
