Abstract: An ink sheet (3) is wound around rollers (6), and a recording sheet (4) is placed with a space (d) between the ink sheet (3) and the recording sheet (4) and is advanced. The thickness of the space (d) is a value in the range of 1 to 100 mu m. The ink sheet (3) is irradiated with a laser beam (L) emitted by a laser (5) to transfer the dye contained in a dye layer formed on the ink sheet (3) from the ink sheet (3) to the recording sheet (4) for printing. The dye layer of the ink sheet (3) is replenished with the dye (30, 30A) heated and fused by a heater (9) by a dye supply unit (7) at a position other than a position where the ink sheet (3) is irradiated with the laser beam (L). Since the ink sheet and the recording sheet are held with the space (d) having a thickness in the range of 1 to 100 mu m, the dye once transferred to the recording sheet is not transferred from the rcording sheet to the ink sheet, so that a clear picture having a comparatively high density can be printed. Since the dye layer of the ink sheet is replenished with the dye, the ink sheet can be repeatedly used, so that no waste is produced.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To highly efficiently recover a dyestuff from a dyestuff-containing information recording medium by treating a dyestuff-containing layer with a solvent containing a singlet oxygen deactivating agent (quencher) to recover the dyestuff. SOLUTION: The dyestuff-containing information recording medium is a direct read after write type dyestuff based optical disc having at least a substrate, the dyestuff-containing layer, a reflection film and a protective film in this order. At first, the substrate and the dyestuff-containing layer are separated (stripped) from the reflection film and the protective film. After that, the dyestuff is extracted from the dyestuff-containing layer with the solvent containing the singlet oxygen deactivating agent (quencher). And the extracted dyestuff is concentrated, for example with a rotary evaporator or the like. Finally the concentrated dyestuff is separated, for example by a liquid chromatography. As a result, the dyestuff is high efficiently recovered with high purity. And the solvent is desirably used for the recovery of the dyestuff with the addition of the singlet oxygen deactivating agent (quencher) into the solvent after oxygen is removed from the solvent.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To contrive an improvement in thermal efficiency, miniaturization and a reduction in weight, by a method wherein a layer of a hot-melt recording material facing on a recorded body through a gap is evaporated and sublimated by heating the layer selectively and a heating energy absorbing material accelerating the heating is allowed to contain within the recording material. CONSTITUTION:Pieces of recorded paper 50 are separated piece by piece and supplied to a space between a plane base 4 and head part (recording part) 10. Then in the head part 10, semiconductor laser chips 18 for three colors (Y, M, C) are juxtaposed in numbers of pieces by amount of pixels in three rows. Then after solid and powdery sublimating dyes 12 within solid dye holding tanks 11 each are melted (liquefaction) by a heater 16, those liquid sublimating dyes 12' are supplied to glass beads 22 within an evaporation hole 17a in evaporation parts 17 each by a fixed quantity by making use of a capillarity of liquid dye holding tanks 15 each. On the one hand, laser beams L generated by semiconductor laser chips 18 each are converted into heat by beam and heat converting layers 21 each. Hereby, the liquid sublimating dyes 12' are evaporated and transferred to an image receiving layer 50a of the recorded layer 50.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable a colorant component to be recovered without fail from the substrate of a disk-like information recording medium comprising the substrate and a colorant layer, a reflective film, and a protective film laminated thereon by separating the substrate from the reflective film and bringing the substrate into contact with a soln. capable of dissolving the colorant layer. SOLUTION: The substrate is separated from the reflective film pref. by the exposure to ultrasonic waves in a medium. The colorant layer is removed e.g. by dipping in a solvent capable of dissolving the colorant or by spraying the solvent. The solvent used here is pref. the one which does not affect a polycarbonate constituting the substrate, examples being alcoholic solvents, 1,2-ethylenediol, glycerol, Cellosolve solvents, and hydroxyketone solvents. Thus, the resin of the substrate is made reusable as a clear resin. In recovering the colorant, it is pref. separated from impurities by filtration.
