    Abstract: PURPOSE:To attain miniaturization and light weight without using a special mechanism in reciprocating a pinch roller by utilizing a spring force of an energizing spring so as to reciprocate the pinch roller to a forward position in the vicinity of a capstan from a return position in following to a tape loading means. CONSTITUTION:An arm 56 and the pinch roller 55 are turned and energized in the direction of arrow (h) from the forward position in the vicinity of the capstan 62 from the return position in a tape cassette 71 via an arm 85 and a compression spring 88 by a spring force of an energizing spring 94. Thus, no special mechanism is required to forward the pinch roller from the return position to the forward position in the vicinity of the capstan and a load receiving a tape loading means is relieved at tape loading.

    Abstract: PURPOSE: To attain excellent operability by providing a hard brake blocking the turning of a supply fuel engaging with the supply reel stand gear and applying the said brake even at the stop mode.
    CONSTITUTION: When a cassette holder is ejected, an M slider 1 is on standby at the loading/unloading mode position. Further, a B release slider 23 is forwarded in the arrow (c), supported its forward position iv a lock lever 43 by an energized plunger 42 and rell stand main brakes 28, 29 are released. When the cassette holder loaded with a cassette is loaded, the loading is detected, a tape loading device starts moving to attin the loading of the tape, and when the loading is finished, the M slider 1 slides in the direction of arrow (b), stops at the stop mode position as shown in figure, and the standby state is attained. Although the hard brake 56 is released tentatively at the FF/REW mode on its half way, restores again and the brake is applied at the stop mode.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To attain thin profile for the entire device by meshing with a gear having a unidirectional clutch to at least one gear of a couple of reel bases. CONSTITUTION:A gear 18 having a unidirectional clutch 17 meshes with a gear 12 provided at least one of reel bases 2, 3. In the FWD system mode such as recording or reproduction of a tape, the gear 18 having the unidirectional clutch 17 is driven nearly at no load together with the gear 12 of the reel base 2. In the RVS mode at tape rewinding or the like, the gear 18 is stopped by the clutch 17 and a load is applied to the gear 12 of the reel base 2 to suppress idle rotation of the reel base. Thus, the thickness required for a brake drum is not required, then the device profile is made thin by the thickness.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To prevent the overtension of a tape from being generated, by delivering a prescribed quantity of tape in a direction of slacking by pressurizing contact between a capstan and a pinch roller just before completing loading. CONSTITUTION:By rotating the capstan 18 in a right turn by driving a capstan motor 17 after pressurizing contact the pinch roller 20 so as to sandwich the tape 10 with the capstan 18 just before completing tape loading, an oscillating gear 9 is moved from the gear part 5a of a take-up reel board 5 to the gear part 4a of a supply reel board 4 via a timing belt 6. Assuming a travel time as DELTAt, the diameter and the rotating speed of the capstan 18 as phid and N respectively, and feed quantity of the tape as DELTAlambda, the tape 10 is fed additionally in the direction of slacking on a rotary drum head 3 side by DELTAlambda=piphidXDELTAtXN. In such a way, it is possible to prevent the overtension of the tape from being generated, and inconvenience such as the damage of the tape, etc. from occurring.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To minimize the size of a projection forming a recessed part to escape a cassette cover formed to a cover plate by moving the cover plate to cover the opening of the cassette loading position of a cabinet together with a cassette holder. CONSTITUTION:The cover plate 32 is provided on the cassette holder 28 so as to be slided together with the cassette holder 28 and the recessed part 33 to escape the cassette cover 40 when the cassette cover 40 is opened is formed to the cover plate 32. When the cassette holder 28 is slid to load the tape cassette 23 to the loading position, the cover plate 32 closes the loading part. Thus, the cover plate 32 to close the opening 35 of the loading position is slid together with the cassette holder 28 and no relative motion is generated with the tape cassette 23. Thus, the size of the recessed part formed to the cover to escape the cassette cover is minimized.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To prevent a tape from being drawn out excessively, and to thin the whole of a device, by engaging a gear having a plane clutch with the gear on one side of the gears provided at a supplying reel base and a take-up reel base in a magnetic recording and reproducing device. CONSTITUTION:The gear 14 having the plane clutch 13 is engaged with the gear 6 provided at the take-up reel base 2, and the braking device of the reel base is extended in the horizontal direction of a chassis 1. And by rewinding the tape from a state where the connecting part 20a of a stopper 20 is connected to the connecting lug 16a of a clutch plate 16 by a driving mechanism, the appropriate level of loading torque is applied on the gear 14 by surface contact between the felt of the clutch plate 16 whose accompanying rotation with the gear 14 is stopped by the stopper 20, and the friction surface of the gear 14 driven with pressure to the felt side by a compression coil spring. Therefore, the appropriate level of braking is applied on the gear 6 of the take-up reel base 2 being engaged with the gear 14, thereby, the run idle of the take-up reel base 2 at time of rewinding the tape can be suppressed.
