Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus and a method for charging wherein an external battery and the like can be charged through a charging circuit having charging characteristics matched with the type of the battery connected externally or internally to equipment. SOLUTION: The type of a battery (B2) connected externally to equipment 10 with a built-in charging apparatus 1 is discriminated, and based on the result of the discrimination, the present charging circuit is switched to that having charging characteristics matched wit the type of the battery among the charging circuits built in the charger 3. A predetermined charging operation is performed by charging the external battery (B2) and simultaneously switching to the charging circuit having charging characteristics matched with an internal battery (B1).

Abstract: PURPOSE: To attain video-photographing, using a lens adapter for a video camera and using an interchangeable lens for a single lens reflex camera on the market as a converter. CONSTITUTION: The interchangeable lens for a single lens reflex camera 40 is attached to the front part 11A of an adapter main body 11, and an eyepiece 30 with a built-in eye lens 32 is attached to the rear part 11B of the main body 11 respectively. The adapter main body 11 incorporates a relay lens group 13 for guiding the reversed optical image of the object projected through the interchangeable lens 40 backwards and a prism 14 for converting the reversed optical image from the relay lens group 13 to an erect normal image. And also, the adapter main body 11 is provided with a focusing mechanism 20 for making the relay lens group 13 come close to the prism 14, or separate from the prism 14. The eyepiece 30 and the video camera 50 are adjacently arranged on a tripod through each mount plate 62 and 64, etc., so that the eye point of the eye lens 32 of the eyepiece 30 may be positioned at the CCD 52 of the video camera 50.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To process character information independently of a video signal by recording a sound signal on a video track, recording a digital character data on a sound track after the data is converted into the sound signal, and superimposing the character information on a reproduced video through the reproduction of the tracks. CONSTITUTION:The video signal and the sound signal are given respectively from input terminals 5, 6 to a modulating circuit 7, and after the both are modulated in a frequency band separable each other, they are given to rotary heads 2, 3 via a recording/reproducing switch 8. A reproducing signal from the rotary heads 2, 3 is given to a demodulating circuit 9 via the switch 8 at reproduction and the video signal is led to an output terminal 12 via a changeover switch 10 and a synthesis circuit 11. The sound reproducing signal is led to an output terminal 13. The sound track along the lengthwise direction of a tape 1 is used for the recording/reproduction of the character information. The character information is inputted from a keyboard 15 and stored once in a memory 17 via a changeover switch 16.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a charge control method and a charge control apparatus which can prevent at over-current flowing to a lower voltage battery from a higher voltage battery even when battery packs of different voltages are connected in parallel. SOLUTION: A voltage difference between the batteries B1, B2 connected in parallel is detected. When a voltage of the battery B2 in the side connected additionally is higher than that of the battery B1 provided with an apparatus, the internal battery B1 within the apparatus is charged from the additional battery B2 via a charger 15 provided within the apparatus. When these battery voltages becomes almost equal, the batteries B1, B2 are connected in parallel. As a result, an excessive initial current does not flow into the other side in parallel connection.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a power supply that can eliminate heat generated by a constant-voltage circuit and a constant-current circuit in a case that it supplies a direct power to load keep a superior level of safety, reduce its physical size, and operate within its operation range despite a high input voltage. SOLUTION: Direct current power is supplied from an input terminal T1. Voltage ad current supplied from the terminal T1 are sent to a voltage detector 1 and a current detector 2 respectively. The voltage detector 1 detects the input voltage that is higher than a reference voltage. When the current detector 2 detects an input current that is more than the first reference current, a signal is sent to a time constant circuit 5 and a pulse current detector 4. If the detector 4 detects the pulse current, a control circuit 7 increases impedance of a constant- voltage circuit 3. The power supply stops an output of a constant-voltage circuit 3 if an overcorrect is detected through the time constant circuit 5 and a stop circuit 6.

At a signal detecting circuit 3, voltage and current supplied from the power source part 6 through the terminal T2, are detected. Detected voltage and current are supplied from the signal detecting circuit 3 to a signal circuit 4. A signal that makes the control circuit 2 generate a signal corresponding to the detected voltage and current, is supplied from the signal circuit 4. The control circuit 2 controls the switching circuit SW corresponding to the signal from the signal circuit 4.
