Abstract: An electret transducer in which the electret material is an inorganic insulator sheet with electric charges in it and is juxtaposed to an electrode, and either the sheet or the electrode is mechanically deformable to change the distance between the two, thereby changing the electric charge induced in the electrode by the charged electret sheet. In a preferred form, the electret material comprises a multilayer sheet of insulating materials. The method of forming the transducer includes at least the steps of vapor-depositing a thin layer of inorganic material on a substrate and subjecting the exposed surface of the insulating material to a source of electric charge for a time sufficient to implant charges in the insulating material. If the insulating material is to be deformable, it should be deposited on a thin layer of metal which, in turn, has been deposited on a thicker substrate. A spacer layer of metal is deposited on top of the charged insulating material. Thereafter, selected areas of the substrate and of the spacer layer are chemically removed to leave the thin metal layer and the charged insulating material free of support except around the periphery of such open area. The ability of the insulating material to accept and hold a charge may be improved by depositing the insulating material as two separate layers of different materials, one immediately on top of the other.

At the time of depositing the recording film in this process for producing the optical recording medium, the deposition is preferably executed with conditions under which equation I, equation II and equation III are satisfied in the gaseous Ar atmosphere contg. the gaseous N2 and gaseous O2 when the mixing ratio (N2 +O2 )/Ar of the gaseous N2 and gaseous O2 to the gaseous Ar is defined as Y[%], the ratio O2 /(N2 +O2 ) of the gaseous O2 occupying in the gaseous N2 and gaseous O2 as Z[%] and the deposition rate as X [nm/s].

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a magnetic recording/reproducing device capable of passing a damaged tape having a high damage level whose traveling is not permitted normally on a drum, by preventing an increase in the power consumption of a drum motor when the damaged tape is passed and an abnormality occurs in recording/reproducing. SOLUTION: This device is provided with a motor current detecting circuit 7 for detecting the driving current of a drum motor, and a motor current threshold comparison detecting circuit 8 for making a switching request to a reference signal switching generation circuit 2 when the driving current detected by the motor current detecting circuit 7 exceeds a specified upper limit. By the switching request, the rotational speed of the drum motor is changed, and a rotary drum is rotated at a speed lower than a specified rotational speed during recording/reproducing.

The time code is supplied to a system controller 150. Input for in and out points of a target scene is received via a remote control unit 160. A time code for the in and out points is recorded and maintained at an EEPROM (Electrically Erasable Programmable ROM) 154. Using the time code, titles composed of the target scene are dubbed from a DV tape to a DVD (Digital Versatile Disk).

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce friction without scattering of lubricating oil and reduce vibration by forming a grounding part which is in contact with a rotary drum provided with a head in contact with a magnetic tape using member an oil impregnated material. SOLUTION: An upper drum 11 has a head converting the magnetic information recorded on a magnetic tape along the circumferential surface of the drum into an electric signal and revolves with a lower drum 10 through a bearing 13 made into one body with a shaft 12. The base end of a leaf spring 21 is attached to the lower drum 10 and it is provided with a contactor 20 at its tip part. The contactor 20 is brought into contact with the end part of the side of the lower drum 10 of the shaft 12 with the energizing force of the leaf spring 21 to constitute a grounding part for the upper drum 11. The contactor 20 is obtained by manufacturing a porous sintered compact while sintering, for example, carbon and by impregnating paraffin-cong. oil into the sintered compact while immersing it in the paraffin-contg. oil being lubricant for a fixed time. Thus, the power consumption by a motor is reduced by the reduction of friction.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To reduce the number of parts and also to reduce the weight of the device by constituting the device in such a manner that movable parts for operating in accordance with a mode transition in the device are driven by utilizing the movement of a linear scale chassis for moving a tape cassette. CONSTITUTION:Tape guides 21 and 26 are moved with their respective pins 22 and 27 along cam grooves 23 and 28 of a base chassis 1 by advancing the linear scale chassis 7, and tape guide arms 19 and 24 are turned around centers of shafts 20 and 25, so that the tape guides 21 and 26 are moved forward to the outer side so as to draw a tape 101 in a front surface of the cassette 100. A pinch roller 31 approaches a capstan 6 in turning its arm 29 around a center of a shaft 30 by a pin and a groove 33. A supply side reel base 8 is released from a brake shoe 36 by a brake arm 34 with its pin 37 and a groove 38, and a claw 41 is engaged with a tooth 9a of a take-up side reel base 9 by an arm 39 with its pin 42 and a groove 43 so as to stop the rotation. When the chassis 7 is moved to the frontmost end, a recording/reproducing mode becomes effective, and the tape is taken up in keeping up its appropriate tension.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To prevent a tape from slipping to a capstan by strengthening the pressing force of a pinch roller to the capstan in a high speed running mode than the pressing force in a low speed running mode. CONSTITUTION:Since the controlled pin 52 of a control arm 50 is pressed to further right side than at the forming time of the operation mode except an FF mode by a second displacement interval 49e when the FF mode is formed, the control arm 50 is rotated counterclockwise further and the pressing wall 54 of the control arm 50 presses the pressed pin 40 of a pressing arm 38 to left side further and the pressing arm 38 is rotated clockwise further. At this time, the pressing force of the pinch roller 29 to the capstan 20 is strengthened than the pressing force in the operation mode except the FF mode and then the magnetic tape does not slip to the pinch roller 29 and the capstan 20.
