Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a hard disk drive capable of simplifying the constitution without necessitating the high mechanical accuracy and capable of loading/ unloading a disk cartridge with high reliability. SOLUTION: This device is constituted of a turning actuator 5 having a magnetic head 9 for reading/writing the information recording surface of a magnetic disk 3 and a movable holding mechanism 35 for holding the magnetic head 9 to the standby position. In this case, a turning fulcrum of the holding mechanism 35 is set on the same center as that of a turning fulcrum part 6 of the turning actuator 5, and the holding mechanism 35 is movable to the standby position where a slope surface 38 is covered on the outer peripheral part of the magnetic disk 3, and to the withdrawing position retreating from the magnetic disk, then the slope surface 38 is made to the withdrawing position when the disk cartridge 4 is loaded or unloaded.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a disc from colliding with other parts of, destruction of recording information and break down of the apparatus by providing a sup port protrusion at least at one point within a disc cartridge. SOLUTION: Support protrusions 26, 27 and 28 are provided at a recessed part 18a of a lower shell 18 to regulate the inclination of a magnetic disc 20. The support protrusions 26 and 27 are arranged near a head insertion port 22 and the support protrusion 28 at a position on the side opposite to the head insertion port 22 sandwiching a hub hole 24. The support protrusions 26-28 are all so arranged below a non-information recording area provided on the outer periphery of an information recording surface under the disc 20 as to face it. The inclination of the disc 20 is regulated at a position lower than a disc support surface of a metal hub 21 to enable accurate prevention of collision with the support protrusions 26-28 of the disc 20 turning while being chucked.

Abstract: PURPOSE: To prevent dislocation of a disk and to reduce the cost and then to miniaturize the device by positioning a disk cartridge in the inserting direction and in the orthogonal direction to this inserting direction with a simple structure. CONSTITUTION: A stopper 40 and a positioning projection 41 are provided on the upper surface of a chassis 11. Then, a cartridge main body 31 of the disk cartridge 30 is provided with a positioning recessed groove 42. The disk cartridge 30 is positioned in the inserting direction by abutting the disk cartridge 30 against the stopper 40 and a stopper 41B of the positioning projection 41. Then, the positioning in the orthogonal direction to the inserting direction is performed by fitting the positioning projection 41 into a longitudinal side part 42A of the positioning recessed groove 42.

Abstract: PURPOSE: To obtain a hard disc in which erroneous operation is prevented through a simple structure while protecting a disc and a spindle motor, disposed in a detachable disc cartridge, against damage. CONSTITUTION: A cartridge sensor detects whether a cartridge has been inserted and when a cartridge has been inserted, a motor load/unload} detection sensor 10 is monitored. When a spindle motor 15 is loaded and a disc 12 us coupled rigidly with a motor shaft 15a, output from the motor load/unload} detection sensor goes H to start driving of the spindle motor 15 automatically. It a variation in the output from the motor load/unload} detection sensor 10 is detected when an arm is loaded, the arm is unloaded and retracted to a predetermined position. When the arm is not loaded, driving of the spindle motor 15 is interrupted.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To enable the user to simply recognize whether a magnetic head is in the loading state or the unloading state. CONSTITUTION:The magnetic head 5 for reading out data of a magnetic disk 1 is fitted to one end side of a head arm 6. The head arm 6 is controlled in motion by a voice-coil motor 7 in accordance with a turning signal sent from a head arm driver. This turning signal is also sent to magnetic head position measuring circuit 9 of a magnetic head position detecting part 13, and based on the turning signal, a position of the magnetic head 5 is measured. This measuring result is sent to a loading/unloading discriminating circuit 10 to discriminate whether the magnetic head 5 is in the loading state or the unloading state, and this discriminating result is sent as a display signal via an output terminal 11 to a display lamp 12 to be displayed.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To improve thermal efficiency while obtaining stabilized heating temperature in transferring in which specified dye is transferred onto paper by laser beam emitted from a laser printer by providing a light-absorbing layer and a dye layer on a ribbon base. CONSTITUTION:In a thermal sublimation type printer employing laser, an ink ribbon 32 and printing paper 33 are pressed against a platen with a rod-like line head 31 extending in the axial direction of the platen 38 and is made up by arranging a plurality of multibeam arrays 34 equipped with a laser array 37 in the breadthwise direction of the printing paper 33. Then, dye in the ink ribbon 32 is transferred to the printing paper 33 by heating the ink ribbon 32 by heat of the laser beam emitted from the line head 31. The ink ribbon 32 is formed of a ribbon base 41 in low heat conductivity through which the laser beam 35 permeates, a light-absorbing layer 42 that receives the laser beam 35 and convert it into heat and a dye layer 43 that transfers the dye onto the printing paper 33 by the heat generated in the light-absorbing layer 42.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To form a small-sized, diverse liquid crystal device by installing a photodetecting element between transparent bases, driving a liquid crystal device, and putting the liquid crystal device in operation as a printer and further an image scanner in addition to a liquid crystal shutter. CONSTITUTION:The device 1 receives original reflected light passed through a convergent rod array lens 13 by the photodetecting element 7 of the device 1 and operates liquid crystal 6 as a liquid crystal shutter between the transparent electrodes 4 and 5 to obtain a desired copy image by the electrophotographic means composed of a photosensitive drum 21 arranged under the device 1. Then, image signals are converted into electric signals simultaneously or individually because of characteristics of liquid crystal and outputted to a memory device through a CPU to make the device function as the image scanner. Further, the device 1 is driven as the liquid crystal shutter which operates on the basis of external or internal image signals to obtain the functions of the printer based upon the electric signals.
