    Abstract: A method for the hot working of a Cr-containing steel, which comprises holding a newly formed surface of the Cr-containing steel in a steam atmosphere, to thereby form an oxidized scale containing FeO, and then carrying out a subsequent hot working. More specifically, a method for producing a seamless steal pipe which comprises supplying a moisture to the inside of a raw hollow pipe prepared by piercing, to hold the newly formed inner surface of the raw hollow pipe in a steam atmosphere and thereby form an oxidized scale containing FeO, and then carrying out the subsequent drawing. The method allows, by the use of a simple and easy operation method and a simple device, the reduction of the surface defects being caused after a hot working, resulting in markedly prolonging the life of a tool used therein, which contributes greatly to the efficient production of a Cr-containing steel containing 5 to 18 % of Cr being in increasing demand.

    Abstract: A martensitic stainless steel product having a chromium content of 9 to 15 % by weight and a surface from which mill scales generated during production are removed by a shot blasting. The surface satisfies that, when a color image of the surface taken with 640 X 480 pixels is analyzed on blue color and a histogram of the pixel numbers and the tones divided into 0 to 255 classes is obtained, a relationship between the maximum frequency Yp and the tone value Xp at which Yp is counted satisfies an inequality, 800Xp - Yp - 27000 > 0. This steel product is superior in weatherability under atmospheric environments, and also superior in sulfide stress cracking resistance under environments containing hydro-sulfide.

    Abstract: The martensitic stainless steel product comprises a base steel and a dual oxide scale layer on a surface of the steel, wherein the dual scale layer includes an inner scale layer containing FeCr2O4 and Fe3O4 as main components and an outer scale layer containing Fe3O4 as a main component and having an outermost Fe2O3 layer; or includes an inner scale layer containing FeCr2O4 and FeO as main components and an outer scale layer containing FeO and Fe3O4 as main components and having an outermost Fe2O3 layer.     Abstract: Procedimiento de fabricación de un tocho de aleación Fe-Cr, donde como el desbaste es llevado a cabo con una superficie de alta régimen de reducción del lingote de acero cubierta con una capa de cascarillas con gran relación de área de 70% o más y sin aplicar un proceso de descascarillamiento, se puede reducir la indentación e inclusión de las cascarillas. En consecuencia, en el caso de un tocho para usar en la fabricación de tubos de acero sin costura a partir de un lingote de acero de aleación Fe-Cr, puede reducirse en gran medida el tratamiento superficial antes de la fabricación de tubos. En consecuencia, cuando el tocho de aleación Fe-Cr es adoptado para fabricar tubos de acero sin costura, como aún el tubo de acero de aleación Fe-Cr, relativamente difícil de procesar, puede ser fabricado con bajo costo de fabricación y eficientemente, el mismo puede ser aplicado ampliamente en el campo de fabricación en caliente de tubos de acero sin costura. Reivindicación 7: procedimiento de fabricación de un tocho de aleación Fe-Cr según las reivindicaciones 5 y 6 , caracterizado porque el lingote de acero es mantenido en una atmósfera con 2,5% en volúmen o más de vapor a una temperatura de calentamiento de 1200ºC o más durante 2 horas o más para generar cascarillas.
