Abstract: PURPOSE:To decelerate the available rotating speed of a motor without decreasing a starting torque by providing a voltage limiter for holding the terminal voltage of the motor constant and a servo circuit for holding the rotating speed of the motor constant. CONSTITUTION:A current flows to a motor 1 through transistors Q1, Q2. When the emitter voltage of a transistor Q4 becomes the set voltage or higher, the transistor Q4 becomes ON so that the terminal voltage Vm of the motor 1 is suppressed to the set voltage. When a voltage Vc in responses to a current flowing to the motor 1 output from a transistor Q3 becomes the prescribed value or higher, a transistor Q5 is conducted, the current flowing to the motor is maintained at the value in response to the load torque of the motor 1 to operate a servo for holding the rotating speed of the motor 1 constant.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To prevent an external force fed to an outer cover from being applied to a slide mechanism by duplicating cassette holders, making an outer cassette holder movable to a fixed part and making an inner cassette holder movable to a slide part. CONSTITUTION:A slide chassis 6 reciprocating a cassette 1 to the loading position while the cassette 1 accommodating a recording medium is loaded and a cassette loading part 3 loading the cassette 1 in the loading direction at the restored position of the chassis 6 are provided. The loading part 3 consists of inner/outer duplicated cassette holders 10, 11 having a cassette accommodating space and a cassette loading opening 4, the holder 11 has a turning shaft 11x at the side of the chassis 6 and the holder 10 has a turning support shaft 10x of the main frame 12. The holder 11 follows to the movement in the loading direction via a plate spring 19 and also follows the movement of the chassis 6. Thus, even when an external force is fed to a cover plate 14 of the loading part 3, the force is absorbed by the spring 19 to prevent the force from being applied to the slide mechanism part.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To take up easily and securely a tape in any case by driving momentarily a rotating drum to rotate in the take-up direction when the part of a tape at the take-up side is peeled off from the outer circumferential surface of the rotating drum after the take-up operation starts. CONSTITUTION:Upper and lower loading rings 67 and 68 are rotated clockwise and counterclockwise to start taking up the tape. As the take-up operation advances, the majority of the take-up side separates from the outer circumferential surface of the drum although the other side is wound around the outer circumferential surface of the head drum 57. When the take-up operation further advances to some extent, the upper drum 63 of the drum 57 is rotated in the take-up direction only momentarily. This rotation is performed preferably when the majority of the take-up side of the tape 12 separates from the drum 57 as shown by a two alternate long and short dashes line. When the upper drum 63 is rotated in the tape take-up direction, the other side of the tape 12 other than the take-up side is peeled off from the outer circumferential surface of the head drum 57 by momentary tension caused by the rotation of the upper drum 63 and is taken up around a tape reel 14 as it is.

A differential gear device 6 is driven from a loading motor through a reduction gear. One of the output shafts of the reduction gear is coupled with a ring gear driving gear 8 which is engaged with the ring gear of a loading ring 7 and the other output shaft is coupled with a cam wheel 9. When such a constitution is used, the driving device can be miniaturized and, at the same time, the whole device can be miniaturized.

Thus, the distance to the head drum in the horizontal direction, the relation of position of the said three members and the relation of height are set optionally and the size is nearly halved in comparison with the size of a conventional tape cassette.

The output of the circuit 23 receives a voltage holding at a holding circuit 24 and is applied to a differential amplifier 25 that compares the voltage of the circuit 24 with the voltage given from a reference voltage source 26. The output of the amplifier 25 is given to a motor drive control circuit 27 that controls the rotational torque of a reel motor 7. As a result, the tape tension is controlled to ensure a constant contact pressure to a dummy head chip 11 of the device 10.
