    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a polyester composition having high moisture absorbing/ releasing properties while maintaining excellent properties of polyester by mixing specified porous inorganic microparticles having a moisture absorbing/ releasing capacity with a polyester resin containing a high proportion of alkylene terephthalate repeating units in a specified ratio. SOLUTION: This composition comprises a polyester resin containing at least 80 mol% alkylene terephthalate repeating units and 5-20 wt.%, based on the polyester resin, porous inorganic microparticles having a mean particle diameter of 0.5-8 μm (as measured on primary particles), a pore volume of at least 0.60 ml/g, and a moisture absorption parameter (ΔMR1) and a moisture release parameter (ΔMR2) each having a value of at least 10%. The porous inorganic microparticles used are desirably wet-process silica microparticles. When 0.1-100 wt.% hot-water-soluble polymer is used in contact with the porous inorganic microparticles, the resultant composition can exhibit markedly improved moisture absorption and release performances.

    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a hygroscopic fiber structure simultaneously satisfying both excellent hygroscopicity and high color fastness by dyeing a fiber structure containing a specific hygroscopic resin with a treating liquid containing a dyestuff and an inorganic salt. SOLUTION: This method for producing a hygroscopic fiber structure having good color fastness comprises dyeing a fiber structure comprising polyester fibers and/or polyamide fibers and containing 5-35 wt.% of a hygroscopic resin having a moisture absorption coefficient different of >=10%, such as a blocked polyetherester, in a treating liquid containing a prescribed amount of the dyestuff and at least one kind of inorganic salt selected from the group consisting of sodium sulfate, potassium chloride, ammonium sulfate and ammonium chloride in a 3 wt.% concentration.

    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve color development rich in durability without occurrence of deterioration in color fastness by forming a coating layer comprising a crosslinked methylhydrogenpolysiloxane and inorganic particles on the surface of a colored fiber structure, then subjecting the fiber structure to low- temperature plasma treatment. SOLUTION: A colored fiber structure such as a black-dyed woven fabric made of 100% polyethylene terephthalate filaments is padded with a treatment mixture of a composition comprising a nonionic emulsion of methylhydrogenpolysiloxane crosslinked product, cationic inorganic fine particles of silica and/or alumina having a particle size of 60nm-100mμ at a ratio of 1/0.05-1/1.5 with 0.01-5wt.% of a fluorine anionic surfactant, then squeezed and dried. Then, the fabric is plasma-treated at low temperature for several seconds with an irradiation power of 5-30w/cm under a pressure of 0.05-1Torr in a gas atmosphere such as argon atmosphere to improve the color development.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To obtain the title cloth showing clear images free from ink blotting in printing by ink jet by dispersing or emulsifying a water-soluble polymer into a mixed solvent of a water-soluble solvent not to dissolve the water-soluble polymer and water to give a treating solution and treating a cloth with the solution. CONSTITUTION:A cloth (natural or synthetic fiber) for ink jet is treated in a treating solution prepared by dispersing or emulsifying a composition of water-soluble polymer/water/emulsifying agent/water-soluble solvent into a water-soluble solvent (e.g., alcohol) not to dissolve a water-soluble polymer such as natural sizing agent or synthetic sizing agent and water and the cloth is provided with 0.1-20wt.% water-soluble polymer. In dyeing by ink jet, blotting and diffusion are prevented by using the cloth so that clear images can be shown.
