Abstract: Poly(lactic acid) polymer compositions of the invention each contain an appropriate poly(lactic acid) polymer and a suitable plasticizer having a polyether and/or polyester segment in combination, exhibit satisfactory flexibility and show very small amount of the evaporation, migration and extraction (bleedout) of the plasticizer and losing transparency upon heating. The poly(lactic acid) polymer compositions of the invention are useful as formed plastics such as films.

Abstract: A biaxially stretched polyester film for forming which comprises a polyester consisting mainly of ethylene terephthalate units and/or ethylene naphthalat e units, characterized by having a melting point of 180 to 270~C, a contact angle with water of 70 to 120~, and a coefficient of planar orientation of 0.08 to 0.15. The film has excellent releasability in repetitions of use, wh en used after forming, or even after use in a watery atmosphere, and has stable performances with reduced unevenness. The film is especially suitable for us e in metallic-can inside coating in which the film is laminated to a metal she et such as a steel or aluminum sheet and the laminate is formed into a can. In this application, the film is excellent in the releasability of the contents therefrom and combines heat resistance with processability.
