    Abstract: PURPOSE:To provide the titled molded article having excellent grained surface and high mechanical properties, by mixing polybutylene terephthalate with polyethylene terephthalate and/or polycarbonate and optionally a montanic acid compound. CONSTITUTION:The objective polyester resin molded article having grained surface pattern is produced from a resin composition obtained by compounding 100pts.wt. of polybutylene terephthalate with (A) 1-100pts.wt. of polyethylene terephthalate and/or 1-100pts.wt. of polycarbonate, and if necessary (B) 0.05- 5pts.wt. of montanic acid, its salt, its ester or its ester salt. The molded article can be manufactured by molding the above specific polyester resin composition with a mold for injection molding and having grained cavity.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To improve shape stability and impact resistance, by blending an ethylene copolymer having a specified copolymer composition and glass bead pretreated with epoxysilane, with a thermoplastic polyester. CONSTITUTION:1-30pts.wt. ethylene/glycidyl methacylate copolymer contg. 3-9wt% copolymerized glycidyl methacrylate and 7-150pts.wt. glass bead pretreated with epoxysilane, are blended with 100pts.wt. thermoplastic polyester such as polyethylene terephthalate or polyethylene naphthalate to produce the desired polyester compsn. for molding. The pretreatment of glass bead is conducted in such a manner that a soln. of epoxysilane is mixed with glass bead with stirring, and the mixture is left to stand in order to precipitate glass bead which is then separated and dried.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To provide a polybutylene terephthalate resin colored composition not staining molds and having excellent color transfer resistance and thermal stability by compounding polybutylene terephthalate resin with a specific blue coloring agent as an essential coloring component. CONSTITUTION:A colored composition comprises (A) polybutylene terephthalate having a relative viscosity (0.5% ortho-chlorophenol solution, 25 deg.C) of 1.3-2, especially 1.35-1.7, (B) at least one green coloring agent of CI. pigment blue 15:3, CI. pigment blue 15:1 and CI. solvent blue 132 in an amount of 0.001-5 pts.wt., more preferably 0.01-2 pts.wt., per 100 pts.wt. of the component A, if necessary, any other coloring agent and (C) a dispersing agent (preferably N,N'-ethylenebisstearic acid amide) in an amount of 0.1-2 pts.wt., preferably 0.1-1.5 pts.wt., per 1 pt.wt. of the component B.

CONSTITUTION:A composition comprises (A) polybutylene terephthate resin having a relative viscosity (0.5% ortho-chlorophenol solution, 25 deg.C) of preferably 1.3-2, especially 1.35-1.7, (B) at least one of CI. pigment red 247, CI. pigment red 151, CI. pigment violet 19, CI. pigment red 122 and CI. pigment red 202 in an amount of preferably 0.0001-5 pts., more preferably 0.01-2 pts.wt., per 100 pts.wt. of the component A, if necessary, an inorganic pigment, and (C) a dispersing agent (preferably N,N'-ethylenebis-stearic acid amide) in an amount of 0.1-2 pts.wt. per 1 pt.wt. of the component B.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To produce a molding resin compsn. excellent in the low-temp. impact strength, heat resistance, etc., by melt mixing an aliph. polyamide, a polyphenylene ether, a specific diene block copolymer, and an alpha,beta-unsatd. carboxylic acid in a specific way. CONSTITUTION:A polyphenylene ether is melt mixed with an alpha,beta-unsatd. carboxylic acid (e.g. maleic anhydride) and then with 5-95wt.% aliph. polyamide (e.g. nylon 6) and a diene block copolymer selected from the group consisting of an A-B-A' type block copolymer elastomer (wherein A and A' are each an arom. hydrocarbon polymer block; and B is a conjugated diene polymer block) and a hydrogenated A-B-A' type block copolymer elastomer (wherein the internal polymer block B is hydrogenated). The resulting mixture is further melt mixed with the rest, 95-5wt.% of the polyamide, thus producing a molding resin compsn.
