Abstract: PURPOSE:To prevent electrification by making electromagnetic properties and running properties favorable, by a method wherein layers A, B are laminated, an antistatic agent and inorganic matter particulates are contained in the layer B, a coating layer consisting mainly of shading particulates is formed on the surface, specific light transmittance, surface resistivity, surface kinetic coefficient of friction and mean roughness (Ra) on the center line of the surface are possessed and the Ra of the surface of the layer A is specified. CONSTITUTION:An antistatic agent and inorganic matter particulates are contained within a layer B and a coating layer consisting mainly of shading particulates is formed on the outside of the layer B of a composite polyester film obtained by laminating the layers A, B comprised both of polyester. Light transmittance, surface resistivity of the outside of the layer B, the kinetic coefficient of friction of the outside of the layer B, mean roughness (Ra) on the center line of the outside of the layer B and the Ra of the outside of the layer A are made respectively 60% or less, 10 OMEGA or less, 0.20 or less, 0.010-0.025 mum and smaller than 0.015 mum. Various surface active agents are used for the antistatic agent, the inorganic matter particulates in the layer B are for provision of a fine protrusion on the outside of the layer B and the shading particulates contained in the outside coating layer of the layer B are made into tinting particulates.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To obtain a composite polyester film superior in light shielding properties, antistatic properties, and ease of slipping by a method wherein a layer A and a layer B, both of which are made of polyester, are laminated with each other, light-screening fine particle, an antistatic agent, and inorganic fine particle are incorporated in the layer B, and the light transmittance, the surface resistivity and coefficient of dynamic friction of the outer surface of the layer B, and the center line average height of the outer surfaces of the layers A, B are specified. CONSTITUTION:In a composite polyester film, a layer A and a layer B, both of which are made of polyester, are laminated with each other. Light-screening fine particle, an antistatic agent, and inorganic fine particle are incorporated in the layer B. The light transmittance is 60% or less, the surface resistivity of the outer surface of the layer B is 10 OMEGA or less, and the coefficient of dynamic friction of the outer surface of the layer B is 0.20 or less. The center line average height Ra of the outer surface of the layer B is 0.010-0.025mum, and the Ra of the outer surface of the layer A is less than 0.015mum. Because one surface on the side of the layer A has smoothness and the other surface on the side of the layer B has ease of slipping, antistatic properties, and good light shielding properties, a video tape superior in electromagnetic characteristics and running properties and free from electrification can be produced only by providing a magnetic layer with high magnetic substance density on the side of the layer A.
