Abstract: PURPOSE:To provide the image receiving sheet which has a coating layer having the excellent adhesive property to a base and the excellent adhesive property to a photosensitive material layer and has excellent mechanical strength, water resistance, and chemical resistance by providing the coating consisting of a copolymer essentially consisting of ethylene and unsatd. carboxylic acid and/or unsatd. carboxylate on one surface of a biaxially oriented polyester film. CONSTITUTION:The coating layer essentially consisting of the copolymer essentially consisting of the ethylene and the unsatd. carboxylic acid and/or unsatd. carboxylate is provided on at least one surface of the biaxially oriented polyester film. The more particularly adequate copolymer is exemplified by an ethylene/acrylic acid copolymer, polyethylene/acrylic acid graft copolymer, polyethylene/methacrylic acid graft copolymer, etc. The thermoplastic resin which is different in kind from the biaxially oriented polyester film and is incompatible therewith is incorporated into this film in order to improve the transferability by lamination and to decrease the weight of the image receiving sheet by imparting resilience and cushion property to the film.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To obtain an image receiving sheet having a coating layer excellent in the close adhesiveness to a support and a sensitive layer and excellent in mechanical strength, water resistance and chemical resistance by specifying the glass transition temp. of the non-aqueous polyester copolymer being the main component of the coating layer. CONSTITUTION:A coating layer is composed of a composition based on a non- aqueous polyester copolymer prepared by grafting a compound having an unsaturated bond containing an alkoxysilane group or a glycidyl group and provided at least to the single surface of a polyester film. The non-aqueous polyester copolymer is a polyester copolymer having a hydrophilic group or component, for example, a hydroxyl group not introduced into the molecule thereof and obtained by the polycondensation of a dicarboxylic acid component and a glycol component. The compound having the unsaturated bond is grafted to the non- aqueous polyester copolymer and, concretely, for example, vinyl propionate is designated as vinyl esters. Grafting can be performed by known reaction and it is necessary that the glass transition temp. (Tg) of the obtained non- aqueous polyester copolymer is within a range of 5-90 deg.C.

The resin layer to be formed on at least one side of film is composed essentially of the cross-linking agent and the copolymer obtained by graft polymerizing an unsaturated compound with a polyester having hydrophilic groups in a grafting rate of 0.5 - 60%, and then, the photosensitive layer is formed on this graft copolymer layer, thus permitting the obtained photosensitive material to have the polyester base freed of residual curling tendency.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To obtain a laminated polyester film having both excellent transparency and lubricating properties simultaneously by coating a transparent polyester film with water-soluble or water-dispersible resin containing specific organic porous hollow fine particles, then orienting it, and forming a coating layer having a specific correlation between the particle size of the particle and the thickness of the laminated layer. CONSTITUTION:A coating layer which contains as main ingredients water-soluble of water-dispersible resin A and organic porous hollow fine particles B having 0.08-2.0mum of mean particle size for containing the resin A is provided. This layer is oriented at least in one direction. The radio (D/d) of the mean particle size D of the fine particle B of the layer to the thickness (d) of the layer is ranged at 1.1-80. If the ratio of the particle size to the thickness is less than 1.0, the lubricating properties, transparency of a laminated film are deteriorated unpreferably. If the ratio is 80 or more, the wear resistance of the layer is deteriorated to cause it to generate white powder or to be deteriorated in its lubricating properties unpreferably.

With this loading, even if this liquid is applied to either one side or both sides of an unstretched film or a uniaxial stretched film, which is stretched uniaxially or biaxially for heat treatment, the film which does not becomes turbid in white and is favorable in transparency can be obtainable. The polyhydric alcohol means either bivalent or trivalent alcohol, a thing whose water solubility is favorable, the boiling point is more than 150 deg.C and vapor pressure at a temperature of 20 deg.C is less than 5mm.Hg is desirable and the most desirable one is glycerin.
