    Abstract: A pressure vessel according to the invention has a feature comprising an inner shell having a gas barrier property and a pressure outer shell provided in a manner to cover the inner shell, the outer shell being composed of FRP containing a reinforcing fiber and a resin and having a tensile elastic modulus of 35 GPa or more and a tensile rupture strain of 1.5 % or more. It is possible to provide a pressure vessel which has a good pressure withstanding property against repeated shocks and a good reliability, not to mention a light weight. Also, a method of manufacturing a pressure vessel, according to the invention, has a feature comprising forming a pressure outer shell, which is composed of FRP containing a reinforcing fiber and a resin and has a tensile elastic modulus of 35 GPa or higher and a tensile rupture strain of 1.5 % or larger, around an inner shell, which has a gas barrier property, by means of a filament winding method or a tape winding method. It is possible to produce a pressure vessel which is low in cost and has a good pressure withstanding property and a good reliability, and is lightweight.

    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a resin molded product having both of high physical properties by long fiber reinforcing effect and moldability equal to that in a case reinforced by short fibers by setting the shape parameter and measure parameter of the fiber length distribution of the resin molded product containing reinforcing fibers to specific ranges. SOLUTION: When a horizontal axis is set to the length of reinforcing fibers and a vertical axis is set to probability density, the shape of fiber length distribution has a specific distribution wherein short and long reinforcing fibers are arranged in this order and, when this distribution shape is formed so as to leave a gentle-sloping trail from short fibers to long fibers, the balance of the moldability and physical properties of a molded product is excellent. When a unit is set to mm and expressed by two-parameter Weibull distribution, the shape parameter of this distribution shape is 1-3 and the measure parameter βthereof is 0.23-3.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To obtain a fiber-reinforced phenolic resin formed article not having voids nearly at all by pultusion, by controlling both first and second dies to be at temperatures of the boiling point of water or below any by compounding a curing agent in an optimum range in phenolic resin to be used for impregnation in the first die. CONSTITUTION:Two dies 8 and 9 are used and the first die 8 is kept in a range of temperature not exceeding 50 deg.C, while the second die 9 is heated in a range of temperature of 50 to 80 deg.C. A reinforcing fiber material is introduced into the first die 8, while phenolic resin containing a curing agent in the range of 5 to 15 pts.wt. is supplied, and the reinforcing fiber material is impregnated with the resin. The reinforcing fiber material impregnated with the phenolic resin is drawn out of the first die 8 and introduced into the second die 9 and the phenolic resin is cured in the second die 9. The reinforcing fiber material used for forming is of carbon fibers and composed of ten plies of cloth of 100mm wide. The sheets of this cloth are piled and charged into the first die 8.

    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a refractory panel which is acceptable as qualified in a refractory structure test specified by JIS-A-1304 and shows adequately high flexural rigidity and strength as a whole. SOLUTION: A facing material 33 consisting of a woven fabric or a nonwoven fabric impregnated with a resin is provide on at least one of the faces of an inorganic core material 32 and a resin layer 34 blending with 50-200 parts inorganic filler is interposed between the inorganic core material 32 and the facing material 33 to constitute the refractory panel 31. This refractory panel 31 has ribs 35 extending in the thickness direction of the inorganic core material 32.

The value of θ is set in the range of at least 45 deg. to smaller than 90 deg.. These reinforcing fiber layers 3, 4 and 5 form respectively a composite material contg. the reinforcing fiber and a resin, namely, an FRP under a condition where they are molded into the FRP cylindrical body 1.     Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a rolling stock from being damaged even when cut stringing is brought into contact with the roof of a rolling stock, by forming a roof whose structural body outside is formed with a conductive material layer and an electric insulation layer. SOLUTION: As a conductive material layer where a ground line 8 is brazed at the end part of a rolling stock structural body, a copper mesh 6a is bonded to the outer surface of a roof plate 3a with a phenolic resin adhesive 5b, and from the top side of the copper mesh 6a, room temperature curing 2-liquid mixing type urethane resin paint is applied. The liquid urethane rein paint is made to pass through the opening of the copper mesh 6a and penetrate to the surface of the roof 3a. The copper mesh 6a is coated with polyurethane resin paint film 5a as an electric insulation layer. It is thus possible to prevent a rolling stock from being damaged even when cut stringing is brought into contact with the roof of a rolling stock.

    Abstract: PURPOSE: To heighten the torsional strength and the like of a joint part in the inner shell end part to a boss in a gas cylinder of double layer structure formed of the inner shell and an outer shell. CONSTITUTION: A gas cylinder has an inner shell 2 with gas barrier property, a pressure tight outer shell 3 provided in such a way as to cover the inner shell 2, and a boss 6 provided at the bottom part of the inner shell 2. In this case, the bottom part of the inner shell 2 and the boss 6 are engagedly fitted to each other through the polygonal faces.
