    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a refractory panel which is acceptable as qualified in a refractory structure test specified by JIS-A-1304 and shows adequately high flexural rigidity and strength as a whole. SOLUTION: A facing material 33 consisting of a woven fabric or a nonwoven fabric impregnated with a resin is provide on at least one of the faces of an inorganic core material 32 and a resin layer 34 blending with 50-200 parts inorganic filler is interposed between the inorganic core material 32 and the facing material 33 to constitute the refractory panel 31. This refractory panel 31 has ribs 35 extending in the thickness direction of the inorganic core material 32.

    Abstract: PURPOSE: To provide the subject transmission shaft made of fiber-reinforced resin improved in joint durability, and to provide the subject operation stick consisting of a combination of this transmission shaft with a main pipe. CONSTITUTION: This transmission shaft for bush cutters has such a constitution that the cross-sectional shape of the inner or outer surface at its end to be jointed of a fiber-reinforced resin tubular body 50 constituting this shaft is made polygonal. The transmission shaft is produced by laminating the outer periphery of a mandrel made of soluble linear material with reinforcing fibers and a resin followed by conducting a pultrusion using a mold and then dissolving and removing the mandrel. The cross-sectional shape of the mandrel or the mold to be used is polygonal. The objective operation stick for bush cutters is a combination of this transmission shaft with a main pipe, and the main pipe is made up of a fiber-reinforced resin inner layer formed of carbon fibers crossedly arranged in a helical way, a fiber-reinforced resin intermediate layer formed of carbon fibers arranged axially, and a fiber-reinforced resin outer layer formed of carbon fifers crossedly arranged in a helical way.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To contrive the retention of a high bending strength over a long period of time and the extension of the lifetime of an expensive electrode by a method wherein an electroosmotic dehydration electrode is formed by adhesively bonding together an outer electrode plate part consisting of carbonaceous material and a supporting plate part consisting of strength retaining material. CONSTITUTION:The material to be dehydrated is placed between anode and cathode facing each other and subjected to compressive dehydration by pressing a compression diaphragm behind the electrode and, at the same time, to electroosmotic dehydration by applying D.C. from behind the electrode. The electrode in this device is of the structure formed of an outer electrode plate part 3 consisting of carbonaceous material (e.g. sintered carbon plate) and a supporting plate part 1 consisting of strength retaining material (e.g. stainless steel), both being adhesively bonded together with epoxy resin 4 or the like. As a result, the strength of this electrode is 1.5-9 times that of the conventional unit, the rate of a load on the electrode plate part is small, a high bending strength can te retained over a long period of time, the lifetime of the electrode can be extended to compensate for its high cost and the overall economics of the electroosmotic dehydration can be enhanced with respect to waste liquors and sludge.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To provide weight reduction and higher durability of a propeller shaft by making it of hard-fiber resin, which is supplied with a hollow propeller shaft, an end piled member, and an element connected with an universal joint. CONSTITUTION:A piled element 3 is mounted on one end of a hollow hard-fiber resin propeller shaft 1. A connecting hole 4 is made through the piled element 3 and the shaft 2 and in which a supporting member 5 such as a bearing is fixed. One hand of the universal-joint connecting pin 6 is supported by the supporting member 5 and another of the pin is supported by another member 5' set in the connecting hole 4' of another shaft yoke 5' so that the propeller shaft can be jointed with the other shaft. Thus no need for a current yoke may provide more light weight propeller shaft than ordinal one and prevent disconnection of the piled members due to high tension with the yoke.

    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the motive power by forming a sandwich panel or a hollow section panel as a structural member of a cage. SOLUTION: A cage 1 of an elevator is formed by five faces, that is, a floor plate 3, a ceiling plate 4, the side plates 5 and a back plate 6, and an openable and closable car door 7 is installed at a front side. The floor plate 3, the ceiling plate 4 and the side plates 5 are formed by a sandwich panel comprising a core material and a skin material made of a plastic sheet, or a hollow section panel using the plastic sheet as the skin material and the stringer, and a part corresponding to a car frame 2 is provided with a reinforcement spur made of these panels to improve the total rigidity and strength of the cage. Accordingly high rigidity and strength can be obtained even when a thickness of the panel is thin, and the weight can be considerably reduced by the effect of the low specific gravity of the material. Whereby the motive power can be reduced, and the car can be easily applied to a home elevator operated by a domestic power source.

    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To attain excellent weight reduction and assembling workability and reduce mounting cost by forming a packing box for a dump truck of fiber reinforced plastic with a floor part, lateral side face parts and a front face part integrally formed. SOLUTION: A packing box for a clump truck is formed of one panel body made of fiber reinforced plastic with a floor part 1, lateral side face parts 2 and a front face part 3 integrally formed. The panel body is composed of an inner panel 5 and an outer panel 6 formed of fiber reinforced plastic skin material, and a space part 7 provided between both panels 5, 6. Core material such as foam synthetic resin material or honeycomb material is mounted in the space part 7. This constitution can attain excellent weight reduction and assembling workability and reduce mounting cost.
