    Abstract: PURPOSE:To control the leakage current component flowing through slit sections via the reinforcement and improve the cutoff performance and mechanical strength by widening the slit width on the back side of a spiral electrode. CONSTITUTION:The width of slits 11 on the back side of a spiral electrode 10 is widened at the portion facing a reinforcing ring 14, and the depth of wide slit sections 15 is made deeper than the coupling depth between the reinforcing ring 14 and the spiral electrode 10. The spiral electrode 10 and the reinforcing ring 14 are connected by silver brazing or the like except the portion of the wide slit sections 15. The reinforcing ring 14 bridging adjacent spiral blades 12 is lengthened, the electrical resistance of this portion is increased, the leakage current component (i) is controlled, the main current I generating the arc drive magnetic field is increased by that quantity, thus the cutoff performance can be improved.

This does away with an overheating treatment process in manufacturing the insulating vessel 23 and the insulating and operating rod, so that, a general resin material can be used for an insulating rod 28.

SOLUTION: An insulation material membrane 13 having nearly same dielectric constant as an insulation cylinder 1 is formed on an inner face of a seal ring 3 so as to cover an end of the insulation cylinder 1. With such a structure, a surface insulation distance inside of a vacuum valve is increased, a triple junction is not formed at the end of the insulation cylinder 1, and the triple junction of an insulation material membrane end 13 formed instead can be a low electric field, and therefore, the insulation performance of the vacuum valve can be improved.

    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve crack resistance and reduce the size of a mold bushing by molding the outside of a flexible metal cylinder formed larger in diameter at the center section than end sections, and inserting and fixing a central conductor in the metal cylinder. SOLUTION: An insulating layer 11 is formed by molding on the outer periphery section of a cylinder 16 made of a thin plate metal such as copper or aluminum. This cylinder 16 is provided with a circular arc-shaped step 16a on the inside by several mm from the position 11c kept in contact with the layer 11, and the center section is formed larger in diameter than end sections. A central conductor 17 having the outer diameter slightly smaller than the inner diameter of the end sections of the cylinder 16 is inserted into the cylinder 16, and both of them are fixed. The field strength of the boundary section 11c of the layer 11 is mitigated by the step 16a of the cylinder 16. Even if the field strength is increased by a fine gap and a triple junction, the absolute value is small, and the field strength does not reach the breaking field strength. A mold bushing can be made small. Even if the layer 11 is shrunk when the mold is cooled, large stress is not generated due to flexibility, and no crack or no peeling occurs.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To obtain stable breaking, current carrying, and a withstand voltage by providing a reinforcing plate with high intensity and high electric resistivity in a hole which penetrates two or more segments. CONSTITUTION:Plural number of holes 16 placed parallelly to a center shaft of a circumference of a cup shape electrode 11, penetrate segments 13a and 13b of the electrode 11. The hole 16 has a reinforcing member 17 with high intensity and high electric resistivity, made of stainless steel, etc., and connected to the inner of the hole 16 at largest parts diameter 17a and 17b to have high electric resistivity. Relative position with adjacent segments is thus kept constant by the member 17, without crushing of a slit due to switching shock of the electrode, without current draining flown in each segment, strong magnetic field can be obtained to drive arc, and stable breaking characteristic is obtained. So that to realize stable withstand voltage characteristic and current carrying characteristic in accordance with the increase and decrease of the electrode thickness.

A free end portion 21a of the bellows is connected through the metallized layer 17a.
