Fuel cell device uses a fuel cell stack (12) containing a number of fuel cells (10) sandwiched between 2 end plates (14,16), at least one force transmission device (18) used for exerting a force on one end plate in the direction of the second end plate, via a spring (20) and a force transmission bolt (24) fitted through aligned bores (22) in the end plates and the stacked fuel cells. An independent claim for a device for securing a fuel cell device to a housing is also included.

The vaporizing burner has a distribution plate (24) and porous evaporator (22) with one fuel inlet (14). Preheating mechanism (30) is used for preheating the evaporator. The preheating mechanism is arranged on the electrical heating surface and the distribution plate is in thermal contact with the evaporator. - An INDEPENDENT CLAIM is also included for the method for starting the vaporizing burner.

The present invention relates to a repetition unit for a stack of electrochemical cells, having a cathode-electrolyte-anode unit (1) and having a first layer (2) and at least one further layer (3, 4) of an interconnector plate resting thereon, with the first layer (2) being manufactured from sheet metal and making electrical contact with the cathode-electrolyte-anode unit (1), while the at least one further layer (3, 4) is cut out in an active area, furthermore with the at least one further layer (3, 4) being composed of a formed flat material, and the first layer (2) also being formed in an edge area surrounding the active area, and with the cathode-electrolyte-anode unit (1) as well as all the said layers (2, 3, 4) being soldered to one another in the edge area. The invention also relates to a corresponding stack arrangement of electrochemical cells, and to a method for production of a repetition unit such as this.

The invention relates to a SOFC pile comprising bipolar plates (5) for connecting electrodes (3, 4) of two adjacent fuel cells having a ceramic electrolyte, wherein each bipolar plate (5) comprises a respective base plate (6) to which one or several contact elements (7) are connected on one on two sides thereof, the bipolar plates (5) are characterised in that the base plate (6) is selected such that it is rigid and gas-tight and the contact elements (7) are elastically or plastically deformable, placed and embodied in such a way that they are gas-permeable in a position perpendicular to the base plate (6) plain. The bipolar plates (5) stabilise the SOFC pile and ensure the secure contacting of the electrode (3, 4), wherein the production tolerances of the electrodes (3, 4) and displacements between the pile components are compensated by thermal expansion or by a creeping process.

A toilet seat hinge for mounting a toilet seat to a toilet bowl includes a hinge post (30) and a pin (34) extending through the hinge post and defining an axis. The pin is configured to attach the toilet seat to the hinge post for pivotal movement about the axis. The toilet seat hinge also includes a quick release mechanism (90) for releasably securing the hinge post (30) to the toilet bowl. The quick release mechanism includes a member (98) coupled to the pin (34) for pivotal movement about the axis. The member is pivotable about the axis between a first position in which the hinge post is secured to the toilet bowl, and a second position in which the hinge post is released from the toilet bowl.
