In some embodiments, the device may be used in conjunction with a rigid or semi-rigid partially circumferential concussion-mitigating collar to determine whether the collar is appropriately sized for the user and is applying the desired amount of force to the neck veins.

An apparatus for preventing osteopenia, promoting bone tissue growth, ingrowth, and healing of bone tissue includes at least one rigid plate (11, 12, 31, 40, 42, 47, 50, 53, 70, 71) to support the living body, a stiffly compliant structure (13, 14, 41, 48, 48', 51, 76) engaged to the at least one plate, a dynamic force transducer (15, 15', 38, 38', 44, 44', 54, 77) engaged to the plate to vertically drive the plate. The stiffly compliant structure having a spring constant such that, in the context of the total of the mass of the plate and the mass of the plated-supported body mass, the total mass and the compliant structure exhibit a naturally resonant frequency in the range of 10 Hz to 100 Hz.

A rehabilitation system using an artificially intelligent horseback-riding apparatus for hippotherapy, the system comprising: an artificially intelligent horseback-riding apparatus which is ridable; a smartphone which can communicate with a cloud server and has installed an application for controlling the operation state of the artificially intelligent horseback-riding apparatus and operating the horseback-riding apparatus; a diagnostic device which is for diagnosing the state of a patient by means of a brain wave signal of the patient; an operating unit which is for operating the artificially intelligent horseback-riding apparatus; and a cloud server which is for storing, in the smartphone, treatment program and data, necessary for a patient treatment, and for transmitting same.

A vascular treatment apparatus, comprising a chair, a horizontal housing and a retractable cover. The cover has hot and cold fluid dispensers whereby alternating and pulsating sprays of hot fluid and cold fluid treat a patient. The housing section also includes hot and cold fluid dispensers. The temperature, pulse strength and pulse rate are controlled by a central processing unit. The central process unit also correlates patient information for observing patient progress and comparing with other patients. Skin conditioner and disinfectant dispensers are included. The chair swivels for easy patient entry. The inventive method includes alternating pulsing streams of hot and cold fluid, preferably alternating 3 seconds of hot fluid with 3 seconds of cold fluid. The hot fluid is between 32 degrees centigrade and 41 degrees centigrade, and the treatment duration is approximately 25 minutes. Preferably, before treatment, the temperature of the hot fluid is gradually raised.

The present invention provides a system and apparatus for delivering a hydro-massage operation using a water jet that moves over a user in both a longitudinal direction (lengthwise) and a traverse direction (widthwise). A robotic arm maneuvers a water jet over a user's body to spray water at various locations according to user inputs such as voice commands or a prerecorded program. The program can be tailored to specific preferences of the individual user, using body measurements and pre-selected preferential locations for water delivery. The program is carried out by a microprocessor in the apparatus to control the movement of the robotic arm.
Abstract:
A method and apparatus for preventing osteopenia, promoting bone tissue growth, ingrowth, and healing of bone tissue includes the step of and means for applying a mechanical load to the bone tissue at a relatively low level on the order of between about 50 and about 500 microstrain, peak-to-peak, and at a relatively high frequency in the range from about 10 and about 100 Hz. Mechanical loading at such strain levels and such frequencies has been found to prevent bone loss and enhance new bone formation.

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a massage machine which notifies a persons to be treated of information on a content description of various massage courses by providing the persons to be treated with the massage courses. SOLUTION: The massage machine 1 is provided with a massage mechanism 15 for stimulating the body of the person to be treated, a drive circuit for driving the massage mechanism 15, speakers for outputting voices, a card reader part which can read out a massage program and the voice data indicating the information on the content description about the massages with the massage program from a card type recording medium 41 and a control part which controls the drive operation of the massage mechanism 15 with the drive circuit according to the massage program read out by the card reader part while controlling the operation of the voice output part to output the information on the content description indicated by the voice data according to the voice data read out by the reading means.
