Abstract:
Embodiments of the invention provide a water safety device used to increase participant visibility by passing water craft. The device is worn by the participant on his or her wrist and activated upon need at which time a flag is uncoiled and extended above the water. Upon conclusion of the need for visibility, the flag is replaced around the participant's wrist and ready for the next use.
Abstract:
A dive buoy/dry box assembly comprising a hollow canister-like main float assembly having a hinged latchable air-tight sealing lid, a collapsible marker flat and mast removably attached to the lid, a collapsible staff and ballast weight removably attached to the bottom of the float assembly and a buoy line storage reel detachably mounted surrounding the float assembly in a horizontal plane, the marker flat, mast ballast weight and staff all storable in said float assembly when collapsed.
Abstract:
Systems and methods for displaying a marine signaling device are disclosed. A flag coupled to a top section of a telescoping shaft includes a folding arm pivotally coupled to the top section that folds upward to gather the flag into alignment with the telescoping shaft. A housing couples to a boat and supports the shaft in the display configuration and receives the shaft in the storage configuration. As the shaft is retracted, the folding arm contacts an upper surface of the housing and gathers the flag into alignment with the shaft. A motor automatically extends/retracts the shaft based on detected tension on a tow rope mount of the boat or a tow rope coupled to the boat. A tension switch detects tension and activates the motor based on the detected tension. The tension switch may include arms that rotate in response to tension to activate a limit switch.
Abstract:
Disclosed is a life saving system, which includes an end-user unit carried on the lifejacket of the user in an aircraft or ship for providing a radio coordinates data of the end-user unit upon an accident subject to the operation of a global position signal receiver module and a starter, which starts the end-user unit when dipped in water or driven by the user, and a main unit carried by a lifeguard for searching the location of the end-user unit through the operation of a transmitter receiver module and a display.
Abstract:
The invention features a device for generating a plume of water, the device including a) a first side wall, b) a second side wall extending at an angle to the first side wall, the first side wall and the second side wall defining a tapered channel, the channel including i) a first end, ii) a second end, and iii) a longitudinal extent extending between the first end and the second end, c) a first flange extending at an angle to the first side wall, and d) a second flange extending at an angle to the second side wall.
Abstract:
A boat includes: a propulsion device (20) configured to generate propulsion force for a vessel body from driving force from an engine; a detection unit (5) configured to detect a current position, a bow direction, and a movement speed of the vessel body; a steering device such as a steering wheel (3) configured to change a cruising direction of the vessel body; a steering sensor (52) configured to detect an operation amount of the steering device; and a control device (30) that is connected to the propulsion device, the detection unit, and the steering sensor, and is configured to acquire an operating status of the propulsion device and a detection result obtained by the detection unit and the steering sensor, and to control the propulsion device based on the detection result. The control device executes a turning operation with the propulsion device, when the operation amount of the steering device detected by the steering sensor exceeds a threshold and when the movement speed of the vessel body detected by the detection unit is not higher than a predetermined value.
Abstract:
A ship alarm display device that is able to display a plurality of sets of alarm information to be easily understood is provided. An alarm information acquiring module acquires the plurality of sets of alarm information from a plurality of apparatuses installed in a ship. A memory stores the plurality of acquired sets of alarm information. A transmission source classification list memory stores transmission source classification lists obtained by associating each apparatus with one of three kinds of transmission source categories. An importance list memory stores importance lists obtained by associating each set of alarm information that is possibly transmitted from the apparatus, with one of three levels of importance. A display target specifying module specifies all or part of the three kinds of transmission categories and the three levels of importance as a display target. An information selecting module selects one or more sets of alarm information corresponding to the display target specified by the display target specifying module, from the plurality of sets of alarm information stored in the memory, based on the transmission source classification lists and the importance lists. An alarm information displaying module displays an alarm information list screen 50 displaying only the specified one or more sets of alarm information in a list, on a display unit.
