Abstract:
A rotating spraying type coating apparatus comprises a rotating drive device (1) having a rotary shaft (21, a spraying held (3.8) attached to the rotating drive device, a paint supplying passage (10) connected to the base end of the spraying head, a paint radiating part (14) formed at the top end of the spraying head, and at least one pair of air jetting holes (20) provided on both sides of the spraying head. This apparatus can provide a wide variety of coating patterns.
Abstract:
A rotary type electrostatic spray painting device comprising a rotary shaft (8) and a spray head (9) fixed onto the front end of the rotary shaft. Paint is fed onto the cup-shaped inner wall of the spray head. The rotary shaft, is supported by a single thrust air bearing (44), a pair of radial bearings (22;23), and a non-contact type rotary shaft supporting device (72) having a permanent magnet. The permanent magnet (78) is arranged near the circumferential outer wall of the rotary shaft for supporting the rotary shaft by the attracting force of the permanent magnet. An electrode (66), continuously contacting the rear end of the rotary shaft, is provided. A negative high voltage is applied to the housing (2;3) of the paint device. In addition, the negative high voltage is also applied to the spray head via the electrode (66) and the rotary shaft (8).
Abstract:
A rotary atomizing head type painting device for preventing adhesion of paint mist on a shaping air ring and a resin cover, wherein the shaping air ring (21) comprises an inner circumferential side ring (22) formed of a metallic material, an outer circumferential side ring (23) formed from an insulating resin material and an air injecting port (24) provided on the distal ends of these rings (22, 23), respectively, wherein the proximal end portion (22A) of the inner circumferential side ring (22) is electrically connected to an air motor (22), and wherein the distal end portion (22B) of the inner circumferential side ring (22) is constructed as an annular repulsion electrode (25). A strong positive electric discharge is generated by the annular repulsion electrode (25) so as to attract negative ionic clouds, and paint particles negatively electrified and the negtive ionic clouds, are like-pole inverted, whereby the adhesion of paint to the shaping air ring (21) to dirt is prevented.
Abstract:
Electrostatic spraying device, for spraying a coating product in powder form, comprising a coating product feeding tube (2) opening axially at the bottom of a rotary spray head (3), characterized in that a slug (30), axially mounted on said spray head, is electrically engaged with a fixed portion (26) of the spraying device, the fixed portion being electrically conductive and connected to a high voltage feeding circuit (22, 23, 24, 25). By means of the invention, the high voltage may be applied on the rotation axis (XX') of the spray head at a location compatible with the central feeding of the coating product into the spray head.
Abstract:
System for fixing a rotary spraying element to a drive rotor. According to the invention, the rotary spraying element (12) for projecting the coating product is attached to drive means (14) by means of an elastic coupling element (25). Centrifugal force increases assembly retaining force.
Abstract:
An electrostatic coating device of a type wherein supporters (31) as external electrode holding rods for holding external electrodes (32) are provided at predetermined intervals in an outer circumferential direction of a housing (2). An inclined surface (31A) inclined outwardly is formed at the forward end face of each of the supporters (31), and the inner surface of each of the supporters (31) is formed to provide a shielded projecting portion (31B). With this arrangement, as viewed from a rotary spray head (5), a discharge distance (H') between the forward end portion (32A) of an external electrode (32) and the rotary spray head (5) can be extended and a value of voltage applied to the external electrodes (32) can be increased.
Abstract:
A powder spray gun (10) for use in spraying particulate powder material of different colors is constructed of a number of individual parts which are quickly and easily disassembled from one another so that each part which comes into contact with particulate powder material can be individually cleaned in changing over from one powder to another. The powder spray gun (10) comprises a mounting block (12) which carries a rearward barrel member (34) and a powder inlet tube (46), a forward barrel member (56) connected to the rearward barrel member (34), a nozzle (110) and pattern adjustment sleeve (100) both carried on the forward barrel member (56) and an electrostatic cable assembly (26, 28) received within a barrel liner (84) which extends axially along the length of the spray gun (10). All but one of the connections between these parts are made by O-rings (40, 41, 50, 64, 87, 108, 124, 125) which frictionally engage facing surfaces of the parts so that they are easily pulled apart, cleaned by a jet of air or the like and then reassembled in peparation for spraying another color of particulate powder material.
