Abstract:
PURPOSE:To improve color separation and color reproducibility by composing a semiconductor strips filter of at least one of CdSe, CdS and ZnS as a main component and adding a specific one of Cl, Br and I. CONSTITUTION:A color separation stripe filter comprises a light transmissive substrate 1, cyanine color transmissive multilayer film interference stripe filter 2, yellow color transmissive semiconductor stripe filter 3, reflection prevention layers 4 and 5 and transmissive dielectric 6 and 7. The filter 3 has at least one of CdSe, CdS and ZnS and an element belonging to a periodic table VII is added thereto. The element of the periodic table VII is Cl, Br or I. The above described composition enables manufacture of a color image pick-up tube which is good in color reproducibility by improving transmission near the fundamental absorption edge thereby the slant of spectral diffraction transmission characteristic near the half-width wavelength becomes steep.
Abstract:
A colorimeter including a phototransistor (16) a light source (18) of appropriate wavelength, a red blocking filter (20) for blocking light of wavelength greater than 660 nm, the filter being interposed in the optical path between the light source and the phototransistor, and a cell or cuvette (1) adapted to receive a sample liquid to be analysed also interposed in the optical path. An air segmented continuous flow automatic chemical analysis system including phase separation apparatus which comprises a membrane filter (52) clamped between two members (50, 51) each having surface grooves (56, 57) in opposed faces thereof which constitute together with the membrane filter ducts for the passage of liquid. One duct is for the passing through of an air segmented liquid sample stream and another duct is for the passing through of an air segmented liquid recipient stream. There is also provided pumping means (70) for pumping the sample stream through the phase separation apparatus and before discharge. The invention also relates to an automatic chemical analysis module for use with the above mentioned system and heating bath for use with the system.
Abstract:
An arrangement for measuring and controlling the ink density of a print, in particular for a rotation offset press, contains a number, corresponding to that of the printed inks, of densitometers for measuring the ink density of ink dots assigned to individual ink metering valves. The measurement values obtained are compared with reference values stored in a memory. A differential which is obtained in this process is fed as a correction factor to an adjustment motor for the respective ink metering valve.
Abstract:
The invention is aimed at the problem of matching the colour of new paint to that of an existing painted area, particularly when repairing and repainting car bodywork. A series of filters of different colours and different intensities of those colours is provided. A test sample from a bulk supply of paint of approximately the correct colour is prepared, and this sample is placed alongside the existing paintwork. A filter is then found, by a process of trial and error, which when placed over the sample provides a resultant colour which is seen to match that of the existing paintwork. The colour of the filter is that colour of paint which needs to be added to the bulk supply in order to correct its colour. The filters may be calibrated to indicate the quantity of additional paint which needs to be added to the bulk supply.
