Abstract: 본 발명은 소스 기지국으로부터 타겟 기지국으로의 핸드오버에 있어서 X2 인터페이스에서 장애 상황이 발생하여 X2 인터페이스의 링크 레이턴시(latency)가 증가함에도 불구하고 X2 인터페이스를 통하여 핸드오버가 수행되어 핸드오버 수행시간이 증가되는 것을 방지하기 위하여, 핸드오버를 수행하기 전에 X2 인터페이스의 링크 레이턴시 및 S1 인터페이스의 링크 레이턴시를 비교하고, 비교의 결과에 기초하여 핸드오버를 수행할 인터페이스를 선택하는 방법 및 장치에 관한 것이다. 본 발명의 실시 예는, 소스 기지국과 타겟 기지국을 직접적으로 연결하는 직접 인터페이스의 존재 여부를 판단하는 단계, 직접 인터페이스가 존재하는 경우, 소스 기지국과 타겟 기지국을 간접적으로 연결하는 간접 인터페이스의 링크 레이턴시와 직접 인터페이스의 링크 레이턴시를 비교하는 단계, 및 비교의 결과에 기초하여 직접 인터페이스와 간접 인터페이스 중 핸드오버를 수행할 인터페이스를 선택하는 단계를 포함하는 핸드오버 제어 방법을 제공한다.
