    Abstract: PURPOSE: A door opening/closing device for a refrigerator is provided to smoothly and automatically close a door of a refrigerator when an opening rotary angle of the door is less than 90°, and keep the door opened at a certain position when the opening rotary angle is in the range of 90°-135°. CONSTITUTION: A door opening/closing device for a refrigerator includes a tension spring(505) mounted between a main body(500) and a door(501) of a refrigerator, and a shock absorber for reducing door closing shock. The tension spring is connected to a front end of a moving shaft(503) at an end and a front end of a housing(504) at the other end. When the moving shaft moves toward the front surface part of the refrigerator, the tension spring applies elastic force to the moving shaft to pull the moving shaft, thereby providing the door closing force to the door. The housing is inserted by the moving shaft partially and has a space closed by a piston(503a), which forms an end of the moving shaft. The housing has air in the closed space. The housing, the piston and the air serve as a gas shock absorber.
