Abstract: A gravity gradiometer and method for forming a pivot flexure web for a gradiometer is disclosed. The gradiometer has measurement bars 41, 43 supported in housings 45 and 47 and transducers 71 for measuring movement of the bars to provide an indication of the gravity gradient tensor. The bars 41, 43 are mounted on flexure webs. The webs are formed in separate elements to the housing and bars.

Un modulo de almacenamiento de datos almacena un modelo geologico de la formacion geologica y datos relacionados con los parametros detectados, incluyendo el modelo geologico datos relacionados con el limite geologico. Un modulo procesador esta configurado para monitorear la operacion de barrenado usando los datos relacionados con los parametros detectados y para ubicar la posicion de una broca de barrena de la barrena en la formacion geologica y su posicion correspondiente dentro del modelo geologico. El modulo procesador ademas esta configurado para generar un punto extremo en una posicion definida en relacion con el limite geologico. Un controlador de la barrena se comunica con el modulo procesador, estando configurado el controlador de la barrena para controlar la operacion de la barrena y para hacer que la barrena interrumpa la perforacion cuando se haya alcanzado el punto extremo

Abstract: The disclosure relates to a direct smelting process that supplies a metalliferous material, a solid carbonaceous feed material and an oxygen-containing gas into a direct smelting vessel (Fig. 1) containing a molten bath of metal and slag to produce molten metal, molten slag and an off-gas. The process conditions are controlled such that the molten slag has a viscosity in a range of 0.5 – 5 poise at the operating temperature range for the process. The metalliferous material may be an iron-containing material such as iron ore, and the temperature range may be 1400 – 1550 degrees C.

The lead loco Li is equipped with the ATP system 26 which supervises the operation of the consist 20 in response to signals received from the signalling system 26. The ATO 15 system 12 comprises an ATO on board system 18 which is on board the lead loco Li, and a remote automatic train operation control centre (ATOCC) 16. The ATO system 12 generates driving commands for driving the consist 20 independent of action of any onboard personnel.
