    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain reproducing compatibility and high tone quality without shortening a recordable program time by recording the second data on a data recording medium with displacement from a track center in the direction intersecting with a track direction of a pit and making the displacement within the prescribed amount of the range not off-tracking. SOLUTION: An A/D conversion circuit 10 outputs the audio data DA of 20 bits parallel from an audio signal SA, and a bit operation part 11 analyzes the audio data DA to the audio data D2U, D2L of upper side 16 bits, lower side 4 bits, and a data processing circuit 12 generates the audio data D2U, D2L to the channel data D3, the displacement control data D4 corresponding to a pit line. A drive circuit 13 records the channel data D3 on a disk master disk 2, and the drive circuit 7 records the audio data D2L by the displacement from the track center of the pit according to the displacement control data.

The information is reproduced from a summation signal of a detector divided in the radial direction, and a tracking error is formed from a differential signal of this detector. Also, the wobbling information of the group 2 includes absolute time information as clock information and position information, and this position information can be taken out of a push-pull signal.
