    Abstract: An intake manifold is assembled from a near manifold component which is positioned near an engine, a far manifold component which is positioned far from the engine and a middle manifold component which is positioned between the near and far manifold components. The near manifold component includes first path-forming parts forming the lower parts of the intake paths. The middle manifold component includes second path-forming parts which are joined on and vibration-welded to the first path-forming parts. The middle manifold component further includes third path-forming parts which extend in the vertical direction in a curve. Further, the far manifold component includes fourth path-forming parts which are vibration-welded to the third path-forming parts.

    Abstract: In an air intake apparatus of an internal combustion engine, disassembling a surge tank made of resin with an intake air control valve into divided pieces, and bonding the divided pieces by vibration adhesion, for preventing the intake air control valve from breaking or characteristic thereof from changing during the vibration adhesion or for ensuring a sealing property between parts, an inner space in the surge tank is divided into first and second chambers by providing a horizontal partitioning wall within the surge tank. The surge tank is divided into a middle piece made of resin and formed integrally with the partitioning wall, a lower piece made of resin, and an upper piece also made of resin, and these three pieces are bonded by the vibration adhesion to form the surge tank. A communicating hole for making the first chamber communicate with the second chamber is formed in the partitioning wall, and a valve body for opening and closing the communication hole is provided in the communicating hole. A drive device for opening and closing the valve body is provided on the middle piece.

    Abstract: The invention provides an intake manifold in which the number of parts or the number of processes of assembling can be reduced, and which is easy to assemble and assuring largely freedom in designing location of an intake control valve. An intake manifold 1 includes a hollow shell 2 and an intake control valve 3 functioning to control a combustion air-intake of an internal combustion engine. The shell 2 is formed by joining integrally a pair of half bodies 2a, 2b having a configuration of the shell 2 being halved in tube axial direction. The intake control valve 3 is built in forming an integral part at the time of joining the half bodies 2a, 2b together.

    Abstract: A suction system for an internal-combustion engine is provided with at least one container, which can be connected by way of feed pipes with the intake ports of a cylinder head. Openings of the intake ports for charge cycle control are monitored by valves. In the container or in the feed pipes, at least one reflection chamber is provided, which is connected with the interior volume of the container by way of a hole structure. The hole structure is formed by a plurality of openings that are formed in a wall section of the container, and are closed off by a cover fastened to the exterior side of the container wall, providing a reflection chamber which reduces noise in the suction system without adversely affecting air flow in the interior of the suction system.

    Abstract: A resin intake manifold is provided with two separated bodies manufactured by connecting protrusions of weld portions of the separated bodies to each other in accordance with a vibration welding, and a cover wall in which one of the weld portions is arranged in an inner side or an outer side of the protrusion with leaving space with the protrusion.
