    Abstract: A system and methods that enable a restoration scheme for power distribution systems that is independent of power distribution system component configuration, the number of power distribution system components, and component settings are provided. In a power distribution system, a number of intelligent reclosers having restoration control modules are deployed that execute a restoration scheme. The intelligent reclosers constantly poll cooperating power distribution lines to determine changes in current or voltage provided by the power distribution lines. In the event of a power distribution system fault, the reclosers act in accordance to a predefined restoration scheme to reanimate the unaffected portions of the failing power distribution system.

    Abstract: A method for measuring an unknown voltage (VIN) using a voltage divider network in such a way that uncertainties in the values of the resistances do not affect the measurement. The unknown voltage is divided into three fractional voltages, the fractional voltages are measured, and the unknown voltage is computed on the basis of the fractional voltages. The unknown voltage is divided with a voltage divider comprising first, second and third resistors, and a first voltage (Vo1) is measured across the first resistor, a second voltage (Vo2) is measured across the second resistor and a third voltage (Vo3) is measured across the third resistor.     Abstract: A mutual inductance differential current transducer employs a toroidal coil mounted coaxially and generally centrally of the length of an alternating current conductor with a conductive sheet therebetween surrounding the conductor and of substantially the same length and in insulated relationship from the conductor. The axial length of the coil is less than approximately one-third the length of the conductor, and the toroidal cross-section has a longer leg parallel to the axis of the conductor and a cross-sectional area eliminating the need for external capacitive and magnetic shielding. The coil is wound with an integer number of layers of the same number of turns per layer, the total number of turns being selected to produce a predetermined range of voltage levels of the analog voltage signal output of the coil, produced in response to and representative of the differential current flow through the conductor. The coil is wound utilizing only conventional toroidal coil winding controls with resultant winding defects in each layer producing corresponding abberations in the analog voltage signal output, the abberations of the respective such contributions for the corresponding, plural integer number of layers being substantially self-cancelling and thereby maintaining the substantially linear responsive character of the analog voltage signal output of the coil.

    Abstract: A method and system for applying a liner material to a contoured surface, such as an exposed rock face in an underground hard rock mine, is disclosed. Locations of a plurality of spatially distributed surface grid points on the contoured surface may be detected so as to generate a representative topographical profile of the contoured surface. Based on the plurality of surface grid points, a spray path for a liner application device configured to emit a spray of the liner material may be determined. In some cases, the spray path may have a trajectory that follows the topographical profile of the contoured surface offset therefrom within a spray range of the liner application device. Liner material may then be sprayed onto the contoured surface while controlling the liner application device to undertake at least one pass of the spray path.
