Abstract: The invention relates to a method for efficiently discarding data packets destined to a mobile station connected to both a master base station and a secondary base station. The master base station configures a secondary discard function in a lower layer of the secondary base station, based on the master discard function in the higher layer of the master base station. The master base station forwards the data packet from the higher layer to the lower of the secondary base station. The secondary discard function of the lower layer at the secondary base station discards the received data packet upon expiry of the secondary timer started by the lower layer upon reception of the data packet from the higher layer at the master base station.

Una unidad de compresión de banda (105) crea combinaciones de espectros de su banda en pares de dos muestras cada una en un orden a partir del lado de intervalo bajo en una subbanda de objetivo de compresión por banda, después, selecciona un espectro que tiene un valor absoluto entre las combinaciones, y coloca el espectro seleccionado junto al lado de intervalo bajo en el eje de frecuencia. Una unidad de recálculo de número de unidades (106) redistribuye los bits guardados en la subbanda para la cual fue realizada la compresión de banda en un intervalo bajo fuera de la banda extendida, y redistribuye el número de unidades en función de los bits redistribuidos.
