Abstract:
PURPOSE: A media stream transforming apparatus and method for providing multimedia service in a DAB(Digital Audio Broadcasting) transmission system are provided to apply MPEG-2 system based multimedia data to the DAB transmission system to provide multimedia broadcasting service including moving pictures. CONSTITUTION: A media stream transforming apparatus includes a media transport stream receiver(201) for receiving a media transport stream, a media transport stream analyzer(202) for calculating a transfer rate of the media transport stream and analyzes the state of the stream, and a system manager(205) through which a system manager inputs/outputs control information using a graphic user interface. The apparatus further includes a system controller(206) for receiving control signals from the media transport stream analyzer and the system manager to transmit the control signals to a DAB transmission system, a media transport stream storage unit(203) for temporarily storing the media transport stream output from the media transport stream analyzer, and an ETI(Ensemble Transport Interface) frame manager(207) for controlling the media transport stream storage unit and processing the control signals from the system controller. The apparatus also has an ETI frame construction unit(204) for constructing an ETI frame using the media transport stream of the media transport stream storage unit, and an ETI transmitter(208) for transmitting the ETI frame to a physical level.
Abstract:
A transmission apparatus for a DS/CDMA system including a multiple-input multiple output MIMO antenna system is disclosed. The apparatus includes a transmitter for transmitting data by applying a different scramble code to each transmitted data through a plurality of transmitting antennas. The apparatus also includes a receiver for receiving the transmitted data by obtaining a diversity gain based on the maximum order of the diversity in order to effectively detect the data. The present invention achieves an excellent detection performance by receiving data with a full order of diversity, which is a multiple of the number of receiving antennas and the number of multipath, without complicated operation such as a decision feed equalizer.

An adaptive interference suppression receiver for a DS/CDMA system includes: input signal generators outputting a part of received signals of receiver antennas that has a coding block's transfer code; adaptive filter blocks filtering a complex signal output from the input signal generators with a tap weight updated based on a constraint MMSE criterion and estimating phase and amplitude components of a specific user channel using the filtering output signal to generate a channel-estimated signal; a signal restorer combining the channel-estimated signal and the filtering output signal and restoring an original signal; a signal selector for selecting known training data signal or the restored signal; and error generators comparing the channel-estimated signal and the filtering output signal and calculating an error between the two signals.

PURPOSE: An adaptive rake receiving device having at least one restriction in a mobile communication system is provided to estimate each multi-path element channel phase and amplitudes by using an adaptive filter output, thereby removing all multi-user interferences to have channel estimated values without a shit from the adaptive filter output. CONSTITUTION: Transmission delay compensating buffers(100,200) collect parts only occupied by transmission codes of each multi-path element, and transmit the collected parts to adaptive filters(110,210). The adaptive filers(110,210) filter complex receiving signals according to tab weight controlled at predetermined intervals. Channel estimators(130,230) estimate phase elements and amplitude elements of specific user channels. A signal restorer couples channel estimated result signals of the channel estimators(130,230) with a filtered receiving signal applied from the adaptive filters(110,210), and restores to original signals. A selector selects one of the restored signals. A reference signal generator generates a reference signal by using the signal of the selector and the channel estimated result signals. An error calculator calculates an error between the reference signal and the filtered receiving signal. A tap weight controller controls the tab weight on the basis of a constraint MMSE criterion.

PURPOSE: A DAB(Digital Audio Broadcasting) system in an FM(Frequency Modulation) band is provided to implement a DAB service and to maintain a data transmission speed, and to easily convert an analog broadcasting into a digital broadcasting. CONSTITUTION: A DAB(Digital Audio Broadcasting) system installs a hybrid DAB system applied to a channel having an existing analog FM(Frequency Modulation) signal and an all digital DAB system applied to a channel not-having the analog FM signal, and perform a DAB in an FM band. The hybrid DAB system performs an FM relating to a sampling signal to generate an FM signal. The hybrid DAB system performs an audio coding, a channel coding, an interleaving relating to the sampling signal, and modulates the signal by an OFDM(Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing) modulator to generate a DAB signal. The all digital DAB system performs the audio coding, the channel coding, the interleaving relating to a sampling audio signal and modulates the sampling audio signal by the OFDM modulator to generate the DAB signal, then transmits the DAB signal to the FM band.
