Abstract: The invention relates to a solid formulation of a plant protection agent. Said formulation is obtained by producing a melt containing 1-80 wt. % of an active agent or a combination of active agents which can be used for plant protection; 20-99 wt. % of at least one thermoplastic binder with a melting or glass transition temperature of more than 70~ C, and 0-20 wt. % additives, the sum of all of these constituents equalling 100 wt. %, and then pelleting said melt by reducing it to drops in a first stage and setting the drops by means of cooling in a second stage.

Abstract: Thiocarboxylic acid derivatives of the general formula I in which the substituents have the following meanings: R is optionally substituted alkyl, optionally substituted cycloalkyl or cycloalkenyl, optionally substituted alkenyl or alkynyl, optionally substituted phenyl; R is halogen, alkyl, haloalkyl, alkoxy, haloalkoxy or alkylthio; X is nitrogen or CR , where R denotes hydrogen or together with R forms a C3-C4-alkylene chain or C3-C4-alkenylene chain, in which one methylene group is replaced by oxygen; R is halogen, alkyl, haloalkyl, alkoxy, haloalkoxy, alkylthio or R is linked to R as indicated above to form a 5- or 6-membered ring; R is optionally substituted alkyl, optionally substituted alkenyl or alkynyl, an optionally substituted five- or six-membered heteroaromatic ring containing one to three nitrogen atoms and/or one sulphur or oxygen atom; optionally substituted phenyl or naphthyl; R and R together with the adjacent carbon atom form a 3- to 6-membered ring which can contain an oxygen or sulphur atom and which is optionally substituted; R is hydrogen, alkyl, haloalkyl, alkoxy, haloalkoxy or alkylthio; Y and Z are oxygen or sulphur. The thiocarboxylic acid derivatives I are suitable as herbicides or plant growth regulators.
