Abstract: PURPOSE: A simulation device for application test automation and a method thereof are provided to perform integrated test about software of multitasking environment through scenario of various event combination and input order in consideration of system specification. CONSTITUTION: A simulator(110) has a virtual file system(113) and a virtual device(116). An event storage and reproduction unit(115,125) performs generation and play of a test scenario. If an application is performed in the simulator and a target system, status information of the application about start and determination of the application is transferred to an event monitoring daemons(114,124). If a specific application ID is registered in the even monitoring demon in advance, an event about relevant application can be saved through the event manager.

Abstract: PURPOSE: A method and an apparatus for providing traffic information to a mobile terminal are provided to provide an optimum public transportation information to a user by considering a cost, a time and the preference of the user. CONSTITUTION: Traffic information related to a starting point and a destination is inputted in a destination input part(100). A GPS(102) determines the location of a mobile terminal. A location verifying part(104) uses the determined location information from the GPS for verifying the current location of the mobile terminal. A destination searching part(106) searches traffic information related to the starting point and the destination. Abstract: 본 발명은 3차원 그래픽에서 그래픽 데이터를 실시간으로 렌더링 하기 위하여 광선 추적(ray-tracing) 기법을 사용하는 장치 및 방법에 관한 것이다. 3차원 그래픽 데이터를 렌더링하여 이미지로 출력하기 위하여 그래픽 데이터는 장면(scene)으로 구성되어야 하는데, 본 발명에서는 장면을 동적인 물체와 정적인 물체로 나누고 각각에 대한 계층 혹은 트리 구조를 다르게 혹은 같이 사용하여 매 프레임마다 장면을 구성하는 데이터의 변화를 최소화하고 이미 구성된 계층 구조 및 트리 구조를 재활용하여 계층 구조 및 트리 구조의 생성 속도를 향상시킨다. 또한, 본 발명에 해당하는 장치와 외부 입력 장치간의 통신을 최소화하여 메모리 대역폭을 줄임으로써 광선 추적 속도를 향상시킬 수 있으며, 픽셀단위로 독립적인 연산을 수행하는 구조로서 병렬 연산을 통한 속도 이득을 얻을 수 있다.

Abstract: A preprocessing method for face recognition, and a method and a device for recognizing a face with the same are provided to improve a security level and performance of the face recognition by recognizing the face stably even if lighting is largely changed. An input unit(310) receives an image including a user face, and an extractor(320) extracts a face area from the inputted image. A lighting preprocessor(350) minimizes lighting effect by calculating neighboring areas of each pixel of the face area, and adjusting a pixel value according to a pixel value of a lower brightness value than the pixel in the neighboring areas. A recognizer(380) recognizes the face from a data image output from the lighting preprocessor. A geometrical preprocessor(340) normalizes the face area by keeping a ratio between positions of face components before the extracted face area is inputted to the lighting preprocessor. A database(370) stores face image data of a plurality of users having an ID. A mode controller(360) outputs the data image of the lighting preprocessor to the recognizer in a face recognition mode and stores the data image to the database in a face registration mode.

Abstract: A method and an apparatus for controlling handoff through mobility prediction of a mobile terminal are provided to measure change of signal strength to predict previously that the mobile terminal is deviated from a current service zone, thereby performing fast handover processes and preventing frequent handover performance at an inter-network boundary zone. Abstract: A root mobile router in a dynamic mobile network and its operation method are provided to utilize a mobile terminal as a mobile router in a situation that a mobile object does not have a function as a mobile router. Abstract: A method and a system for recognizing a face with a linear projection-based ICA having class-specific information are provided to improve sensitiveness and low recognition performance for big changes such as lighting and facial expression by using the linear projection-based ICA, which has class discrimination ability and is independent of statistics. Compressed sub images are obtained by performing 2D(Dimensional) wavelet decomposition to a raw face image and using a low frequency band filter(S108). Feature vector and eigenvector, which are components of the face image, are found by applying a PCA(Principal Component Analysis) to the sub images(S114). Two systematic structures using a basis image expression method and a factorial code expression method are constructed by applying the ICA to the components(S124). Face recognition is performed by performing FLD(Fisher Linear Discriminant) having class discrimination ability and the class-specific information to two structures(S130).
